ASUS(USB-AC53 NANO) USB 2.0 WI-FI AC1200 *9105/A

This excellent and outstanding Nano USB Wireless WiFi adapter is just fantastic. So small, yet powerful and able to connect flawlessly and stable to even weak wifi connections. I ordered this to replace a larger USB wifi adapter that to be honest was just too large and bulky sticking out of a standard USB port that eventually got knocked and broken.I then took the time to order a decent Nano USB Wifi Adapter and could not be happier. The device keeps connections even when tested in a "weak" signal area, not once did I get a disconnection. Just stable wifi overall.I am really impressed with this adapter, stable wifi connection, excellent connection rates and my tests copying large files and multiple smaller files was very impressed vs another usb wifi adpater. Was going crazy trying to get my WiFi to increase on my PC. Was just under 9MB, while the laptop beside was bringing in 56MB. Seems a common problem. Bought this, stuck it in the PC, switched to "WiFi 2" and now it's dancing between 60-70MB

This does not get five stars because there are some unnecessary hassles at installation. Once installed it does deliver five-star performanceI bought the AC 53 Nano for a 10-year-old Mac which has recently had a new clean install of the operating system. The on-board Wi-Fi remains slow despite this. I have sometimes needed to plug in an ethernet cable.The installation disc seemed aimed at Windows machines with autoplay that is not Mac compatible. You have to search the DVD folders and look for the one containing the Mac installer package. This works. After a restart the Asus USB AC 53 Nano is detected but there are vain a couple of error messages in sequence. I should have written these steps down. After jiggling with the trackpad a message came up with the opportunity to clear the blockage. This worked. The Wi-Fi connection is now as fast as that with a wired ethernet cable.You have to turn off the inbuilt Wi-Fi and will need to reset passwords for the new device. If you do not have a DVD drive there are drivers that may easily be found on the Asus website. Unusually these are older than the than the Mac drivers on the DVD.I am very pleased with the end result.

I needed this adapter as an upgrade for my laptop as my existing laptop wireless network adapter could only access the 2.4ghz frequency. Now I have 5ghz and the speed is fantastic. The adapter is very neat and not sticking out too far at the side of my laptop. Installation is quick and easy, just follow instructions on inside of box beside the USB adapter. And I always lean towards ASUS because of quality, online support etc. I already have an ASUS Router so probably wouldn’t pick any other type anyway.

I've used it for a couple of months now. Seems like the connection radius is smaller than what I had been using previously. The stability of the connection is good, however, it does sometimes fail. If you're playing online games, it wouldn't be the best choice - it is very good otherwise. Another issue is that it gets really hot, and that can't be good for long term use.

I have over 200mbps on a 270mbps connection, not bad, windows 11 says the connection maximum is 300. Really useful as my laptop's own wifi adaptor can manage only 150.

I plug this into a 90 degree usb a to usb c adapter so that it sits flush against my dell xps 13 laptop side and it has been working perfectly as a replacement to the nasty inbuilt 'killer wifi'. I finally have stable wifi that doesnt kill my router!

It's USB 2, yet they claim AC1200. You cannot transfer faster than 480 mbps over USB 2, so you may as well get the cheaper one. It also gets super hot and the overall performance is poor, connection speeds fluctuate massively. This is on Linux.
