Impressive beginner guitar
I have played guitar for the majority of my life, and had always wanted a steel-string acoustic. Prior to this I had only played nylon string (classical) acoustics, and electric guitars.Anyone who knows guitars will naturally be cautious of something under £100, and I was, but I took a punt based upon video reviews, and good resale values on auction sites.First impressions were good - the finish is obviously not conventional but it works, and looks great. Sure, anyone can stain and varnish wood to make it look good, but I was pleased with the quality of the finish. The inlay is not all that striking but it works. Looking closely, the build quality is impressive and crisp - I have a much more expensive Epiphone electric with many more visual niggles. It must be said that the nut area is not perfect, but I have seen this on many inexpensive guitars. The machine heads are unremarkable, they seem solid and hold tune well - not forever, but who doesn't tune up anyway? The neck, bridge and fretboard are solid, not much to say but certainly no complaints. When properly set up (make sure you have this done professionally if you are inexperienced) there is no buzzing, and playability right up to the final fret.As for the sound - this is difficult to review because it often comes down to what people like to hear, as well as other factors such as the strings you are using. Nonetheless I am very impressed. The sustain is excellent, the resonance is lovely and rich from the low strings, and there is certainly no shortage of volume. I have found an open D tuning works very well on this guitar.I have given it five stars because I can't stop playing it, simply put. A great buy new, used, for beginners or experts.

Perfect for the price.
I recently decided to get back into playing the guitar, after a five-year break. The guitar itself is really good quality, although for £100 you will find that it isn't made out of the best quality wood, but you really can't tell without looking into it too much. The sound and the action are utterly breathtaking considering the price, it came perfectly aligned which results in a deep rich tone. It feels quite a lot sharper than some of the guitars I've played on in the past. Now the fretboard is fantastic for a learner in my opinion, with a really low bridge it becomes so easy to bust out the chords. Overall? I think I'll be buying another in the near future! Maybe one of their more expensive ones.I think that those who have played guitar for a while and want to venture into acoustic will also appreciate the quality of this guitars sound, and playability.

Massive amount of guitar for your money.
This guitar has quite literally blown me away.Solid mahogany acoustic guitar for under £100 is quite a rare thing to start with. But then you look at the build quality and attention to detail, and it just keeps getting more incredible. The guitar came set up perfectly - no adjustments needed straight out of the box besides a quick tune up.The sound and playability are just incredible. This is easily the best acoustic guitar I've ever owned or even played for that matter.Tanglewood have somehow made a guitar that could easily have a four figure price tag, and inexplicably put a sub £100 price tag on it.My advice - buy one now before their pricing department realise they've made a mistake.

Minor Defect. But guitar itself was a great deal
Im an intermediate player and i can say I truly love the rich sound this guitar produce. Although, there are some muted frets, its tricky at some parts. Thats where the other star is missing. And craftsmanship, hm overall great but im not sure if it was mishandled by the shop/delivery partner, it has a lil dent at the back of the guitar when it arrived. Its quite obvious. But it doesnt affect the sound or anything.
