Perfect example of why you need more than the Internet
Everything you need in one place, absolutely ideal. You'd have to trawl through thousands of pages and reviews to get the info that's neatly organised in this book. Really happy!

Basically ok, but no better
All a bit thin, with a lot of interesting pla rs left out to cram two countries into one book. Nothing on Pleven, for instance.This is the latest edition of bit it came out in 2027, pre-Covid, so a lot of the information is out of date.

We haven't put it to use yet but it's certainly a very good book with loads of useful information.

Good preparation
This was bought in preparation for a volunteer worker visit to Romania. It is an interesting read, and like all Lonely Planet guides it is good value for money.

Disappointing
Disappointing read. Not as helpful as other Lonely planet guides. It certainly missed out vital information about places regularly being closed on Mondays throughout Romania. It also was missing several important landmarks and sights that we discovered, which it had no mention of!
