I can only assume that the less favourable reviews for this product were the result of some mishaps people have been having.With a bit of care and planning, this product will do what it has been designed to do. There are no instructions that come with it but it's pretty obvious what to do. Basically just peel the backing off the sticky side of the velcro strip, cut it into the required lengths, stick them round your window frames and then attach the bit with the zip to them to create a seal.Yes, it's fiddly and if you are careless you can rip the material and make a bodge job of it all but it's really not that hard if you take some care over it. Takes about 10 minutes to do. I've had no problems with it. The velcro has stuck to my wooden window frames perfectly well and hasn't peeled off at all in the few weeks that I've had it up for.To be fair to the makers of this product, making something to deal with the problem of sticking an air conditioning exhaust out of a window is a pretty tough assignment. I don't really see how much better they could make this. It's does a fiddly and tricky job and does it perfectly well in my opinion.

This is enormous, it will fit a hinged patio door. As the window only 71cm I had to do a lot of cutting down.This seem to be designed for windows that open inwards which is not common in the U.K. . To install it as shown you would have to hang out the window , so really only good for the ground floor.It needs a bit of skill to measure and adapt, not sure I would recommend it wholeheartedly

Easy to fit, and it does the job.I bought this for a stand alone air conditioning unit, it was easy to put together and made it so that the hot air wouldn’t come back in easily

Basic and clumsy to suse.

Please make sure you fix the screen to sealed wood frames. Make sure the surface is clean dont wipe with soapy water. Use clear window cleaner from a bottle. If you dont strong winds will rip the screen away!Properly fitted this item is 110% fantastic. I live in Spain and my room is mosquito free now I have this fitted! Buy it!

Rip off!This is worth no more then cheap poundshop material. After just 2 days, it rips and gets holes all over the material. The whole point of this is to stop the air humid air coming in the room. Instead it comes in anyway through the (so far 31) small holes and rips thats appeared over a week of use, the first holes showing up after 2 days.Considering its £21 for this, I feel deeply conned out of my money. VERY UNHAPPY. why is it so hard to find a decent window seal (as my windows open inwards EXACTLY like in the photos). All other seals I found either same as this, or for sliding windows that nobody in this country even has.its already 25oC outside, and 31oC inside (hate the floor to ceiling windows with no UV filters or anything) and the air con cant keep up as the hot 70% humidity air just leaks in through all the gaps and holes.Very poor quality.. would not pay more than £1 .. including the delivery....

This product does exactly what you expect it to do, and it does it well, but it does have its flaws, and due to it being in a position where it's constantly being moved, you will probably be buying a new one of these each year, but it isn't a massive outlay to have a comfortable summer.Hoooowweeeveeeer, there are lots of similar products on Amazon and around the web, most notably one you can import from Germany. Don't import it from Germany, this is the same product (exactly the same), I've ordered both, they're all the same, just get this one and save yourself some cash.
