Classic oriental scent
I'll admit, it took me a while to 'get' Shalimar. Depending on your persepective it either smells very glamorous or a bit old fashioned. Initially I also had trouble with the balance between the floral and spicy notes, but for me the solution lay in the EDP formulation which seems to work better on my skin than the EDT. If you are new to this perfume I would recommend experimenting with both to see which you prefer. This is definitely a 'grown up' scent, it has depth and sophistication but is not at all shouty and attention-grabbing. Although there is a vanilla note it is not a perfume with much sweetness, which may or may not appeal to you. For me it is not a scent for all occasions - sometimes I want something with more warmth and fun, but I have grown to love Shalimar and the classic bottle is beautiful.

Lovely scent
This is an expensive luxury but I feel not totally dressed without it. It’s a woody oriental scent. There’s also hand lotion and shower gel to give an all over scent. Scentsational.

Fantastic smell totally different to other perfumes.
Bit pricey but quality is fantastic, smells of spicy sweet aromas .stays for roughly 5 hours.

Perfect!
The first few minutes smells a little bit strange i did not realize i have to wait more, than normally. Then, after a while it become a fantastic scent. The first Shalimar what i bought for my wife 28 years after the first time i heard about it.

Get this you will not be disappointed
Fed up with the new perfumes smelling all the same I decided to try to get a collection of classics, This is just that!!! This perfume lasted from 6 in the morning until well after 8 , Amazing value for money, packaged extremely well and very prompt delivery, one very happy girly here , thank you

Don't know if it's genuine
I've used this perfume for 40 years and always been satisfied. This is the first time I've bought it on line. Its always been a long a lasting sent and strong too. This smells like shalimar but doesn't last so either the formula has changed or I wonder if it's the real thing either way I'm not sure I will buy it online again I will continue to use it and see 1star
