Q: Do you have to register to the website to use the gateway web console or is it in your lan? i'd like not to send information to their servers.

You have to register with them as it works through their gateway. Really recommend them. Works well and really cheap compared to other home automation devices

Q: Bought a second gateway as I think there is a limit to number of connected devices. Gateway not able to pair a single device. Any ideas/suggestions?

Hi, Thank you for your query. There is a limit of 28 devices that should be paired to the gateway. There should be no upper limit to the number of gateways that will work on your account. Q: Can the range be extended?

Hi Thank you for your query.. If you are having difficulties with range range of operation, we recommend that you place your gateway more centrally with the use of powerline network adapters. Alternatively it may be necessary to purchase a second gateway if the area to be covered is too great.
