Not a premium product, but good value for money.
This is a passive amplifier. This is by no means a top quality product, you should not expect miracles from this weak amplifier. What you do get however, is surprisingly good sound reproduction. Connecting this amplifier to my interface resulted in an astonishingly clean reproduction with admirable headroom. Do not however be mislead by the max ratings on this amplifier. This amplifier outputs a clean sound that falls just a little short of my Yamaha Hi-Fi amplifier rated at 65 watts RMS per channel. The build quality of this amplifier was not something that impressed me, but it didn't fall short of my expectations. It's rugged enough to last you through small gigs and parties, if you are mounting it in a good rack sleeve. The internals seem to be four chips attached to a heatsink, though I do not wish to disassemble the unit to find out more.At £50 though this is definitely a steal, I would have happily invested in a more powerful Skytec amplifier. If you are looking for something with a bit more kick, which you will definitely want if you are playing in front of more than 100 people, invest in a more powerful Skytec amplifier, I doubt you will be disappointed.A note to those seeking proper "Pro Audio", this amplifier does output a clean sound and is relatively flat - if you are however looking to invest in proper equipment, then do not be surprised if this amplifier does not compare to well known alternatives such as Yamaha and Peavey, it was never meant to.

It's alright, get what you pay for.
Using it to power a subwoofer oddly enough. I needed something that was passive and wouldn't touch the audio going though. This does the job just nicely. However the power supplied is way off. 2 x 200w to a 200w rated speaker, but it won't even let me get half the volume I used to get from it.I tested it with a sony hifi I got repaired, and it's only outputting 2x 50, but it smashes it man.
