Took around 30 minutes to fit and 10 of those were spent opening the box and deciding on best way to fit. Self explanatory template is included. It could be written in Martian and it would still be obvious how to fit this.Superb piece of kit for the money.Apart from the above, all I can say is - anybody who finds it difficult to fit this, really shouldn't be let loose with the simplest of tools i.e. a screwdriver.Some other reviewers make the mind boggle.

Excellent device. Bought to keep a front door from blowing open in the wind allowing a pet dog to escape! Easy to install, although the instructions do require a bit of thought as this is reversible so needs correct mounting. Torque is adjustable depending on your needs such as the weight and location of door. Pleasant brushed steel appearance. Thinking of buying another for a similar reason

Solidly and well built piece of kit with good screws etc. included. The instructions for fitting took some deciphering and could be written much more clearly. The fitting template for standard fit was helpful.It actually is quite easy to fit once you have worked out your chosen orientation and it seems to be very robust. It has only just been fitted so long term performance cannot be commented on.

Received this product yesterday and had it fitted and working in fewer than thirty minutes.The written instructions are in Chinglish and are useless but if you use the printed template it is easy to fit.One point to note is that as the product is symmetrical but ‘handed’ there is a 50% chance of wrong installation though that is easily corrected by turning it upside down.Ours needed no adjustment, worked straight out of the box on a 33” interior door.

Replaced a door closer that has been up for 10 years plus bought from B&Q- was exactly the same all screw mounting holes exactly the same- only replaced it due to leaking oil and lost its damping effect.Works perfectly and used to keep our dogs safe from running through front door if dining room door not closed.

the item arrived quickly and a reasonable price...instructions not clear but quite easy to understand, not much to it...however the bolt which secures the arm to the door block was not long enough and I have not been able to secure it...despite several emails to the company this matter has not been resolved and I am now left with the item on my door but not working properly as I have been unable to use the securing bolt and now have to go and try and find somewhere that will sell me a longer one that fits...hassle I don't need and not my fault...I wont be sending the item back at my expense as its nearly fitted and im not prepare to take it all off my door..having this item on my door has become a fire safety requirement at my flat, and now I am on a deadline to get it sorted...all the company need to do is send me a longer bolt....not happy

The instructions made this look so complicated 🤔 so found a video on Google which made installing very easy 🙂 great product 👍 used it for kitchen door as we forget to close it and the dog runs riot now it closes itself 😄 you can adjust the speed it shuts and how hard it shuts aswell Def recommend 👍

As long as you follow the instructions this is a wonderfully simple installation. The screws are very thick so pilot holes are a must. They provide a couple of spare screws and bolts in case things go wrong. Once the closer is in place you can play around with the speed the door closes and the latching. Adjustment is a simple turn of a screw. I have had a door into my garage that has banged in the wind for years and fitted this cos I got fed up with going out in the rain to close the door. Definitely a good buy, for me.
