It fits and works well, the only problem is that this model is very hard to install.

I got this on the chance my really inexpensive HP 14-dq laptop, which doesn't have a backlit keyboard, could be made to have one. This factory keyboard is so hard to see. Tiny little numbers, letters and symbols.When I looked inside I saw the backlight cable connector on the motherboard, so that was encouraging. It looked like a match. Oftentimes they just do not install certain components to keep the price low.Then I saw this keyboard....But after removing everything down to the nitty-gritty, they "plastic-welded" the keys to the computer body. There's no practical way of removing the metal backplate, and installing the backlight under it. It might be done I suppose, nothing's impossible, but I still need this laptop as a backup and won't risk destroying it.Everything I came across during this little adventure was perfectly adequate. The keyboard and (electroluminescent?) backlight appear well made, there were no problems anywhere along the line (aside from HP's tiny symbols on unlit keys, which I partially remedied with my own stick-on labels).

Ordered this keyboard to upgrade and replace a broken keyboard on my 14 inch laptop. To install a keyboard is a little pain in the rear as you have to take the entire laptop apart and use heat to reattach the pins. However, once this was installed in worked just like the original.Overall, a great replacement keyboard fur a laptop.
