Love this product. It is said (not medical advice!) that Tamarind helps to remove fluoride from the body. I use this in steak and chicken dishes, and in drinks as a flavor kick.

While the tamarind inside the package is excellent, the packaging is so unbelieveably terrible that I have to believe it was on purpose. I don't see how you could design something to leak so perfectly and so chronically no matter what the consumer does. I've never seen anything quite like it. Yes, I eventually just decanted it into a different bottle, but this was after 6000 attempts to simply get the bottle to sit there in the fridge without leaking everywhere. I thought it would eventually be possible. It's not. Amazing.

It's not expired but it's almost a year and a half into its manufactured date . my time of purchase in September 2023. Should be fine but will need to use quicker than anticipated.

This product is a great tamarind concentrate if you are making Indian food. This is very different, however, from Thai tamarind concentrate. This Indian version in much more concentrated and much more sour than the Thai version. If you follow a Thai recipe and use this concentrate, your food will be much too sour.
