I was looking for tamarind for making pad Thai and chose this because of its simple use to add to the dish. The price was an added plus.

Could not find this in any store anywhere. Was hesitant at first but the product is great and I will purchase again. The concentrate is vacuum sealed and can remain in the tub in the fridge for next use.

Very strong flavor. Packs a lot of punch into a small amount. Paste isn't really the right word for this product. It is much more of a liquid than product like curry paste or miso paste. It has the thick consistence of motor oil. If you prefer a food comparison, it is a bit thinner than molasses. The flavor was fresh and good with a deep dark brown color. Excellent price per ounce for this brand. Given its consistency, I think a different type of packaging would make better sense. It's a bit hard to pour our scoop without making a mess. Also, the lid is a bit weak, turning it past the initial point of tightness just brings it around to loose again. So unless you want a very sticky mess, you've got to pay attention to how you've closed it.

I was pleased to find this product. No doubt each tamarind brand has its unique flavor. I'm an experimental cook who makes up recipes to please myself, before introducing them to friends or guests.

It is so useful for Asian food items, specially panipuri.As it is concentrated, I added water to dilute and one small container is worth to use for long.

Tamarind paste is fine, but the lid does not screw on and so product was spilled all over the kitchen when putting it away. Very frustrating! Very messy to clean Having to transfer it to another container in order to safely store it is not something a buyer should have to do!! This stuff is so tasty! It’s neither too thick or too thin. It combines well with other ingredients. It was a great buy for the price. Storage is easy with the resealable lid. It could easily be poured out, but I was able to spoon it out with no problems. Great buy!

This product is a great tamarind concentrate if you are making Indian food. This is very different, however, from Thai tamarind concentrate. This Indian version in much more concentrated and much more sour than the Thai version. If you follow a Thai recipe and use this concentrate, your food will be much too sour.

I purchased this to make a peanut butter/tamarind dip for Thai Shrimp and Mandarin Spring Rolls. It turned out delicious!

Packing can be improved. Difficult to draw from pack. Squeeze pack or dispensing flexible bottle may suit better.
