The Ultimate Cartridge Filter Cleaner for Pools & Hot Tubs

Cartridge filters are mandated by my local code (water conservation cited as reason). Cleaning them is a messy pain and is never 100 percent effective -- and in my estimation consumes just as much water as backwashing DE. This product increases the effectiveness and reduces the time it takes. Be sure to note that, aside from broad cleaning via the arc of streams, the spot where the streams collide is also nicely intense for spot cleaning.

Definitely cleaned out some algae that the standard spray nozzle did not, and it did it much quicker. It made a big difference when I put the filters back in and started the pump back on. The quality is good, there is a shutoff valve on the handle which is useful if you want to change out the flosser part for a standard sprayer which I used the clean the tank. I was apprehensive about using this because I didn’t know if it worked any better than a sprayer but for me it did.

This cleaning wand works amazing! The difference between cleaning with just the hose and cleaning solution and cleaning with the wand jet by itself was night and day. If cleaned it quickly and efficiently. The value for the Money is quite good. The filter is definitely bound to last longer as it is cleaned better.

Was skeptic put it’s early handy, works good and better than just the hose

I was using this and pretty pleased with it overall for about a year. It really seemed to cut down on my cleaning time when I had to clean filters.Recently, I tried to take it off, but it fused itself on the end of my hose. No big deal, I was using that hose solely for cleaning filter cartridges.More recently, I had pool problems and had to drain and fill my pool using that hose. I could still take the C shaped piece off the end of the handle to get this done, so I still wasn't that mad at it, it still was saving me time when I had to clean it. When I filled the pool, I had this submerged in the pool to add water to the bottom of the pool instead of the top layer. When I pulled it out, it still appeared to be fine, but when I tried to shut it off, the little black valve broke and I could no longer turn off the water.So I used some vice grips to get this thing off the end of my hose and went back to my regular garden hose sprayer to clean my filter this time around. I very nearly ordered a replacement before using the old sprayer attachment so I would have this waiting for me when I needed it again. I am glad I did not, the regular garden hose sprayer is just so much more effective at cleaning those pleats -- the water pressure is so much greater and I feel like my cartridge looks almost new again.Probably won't buy another one of these unless my hose starts tearing apart filters from the higher pressure.. but I was happy enough with it while I was using it. If you think you might like it, you probably will -- and it's cheap enough.

This product made cleaning my filters so much easier!

Before I used this product I was just using my hose with an adjustable spray nozzle. With this product I cut my filter cleaning time in half. Easy to use. Does a great job. No skills or other special tools required. Just attach to end of hose open value and hold against filter in an up and down motion. Rotate filter as you go. Product seems to be well made and durable. If I had to list any drawbacks they would be, since I only use a few times a year, would be finding it when I need it and you will get wet using it (as expected you are using water and it will splash). If you are on the fence about getting this, just get it. You will not be disappointed.

I really like this and it's changed how I clean my pool filter (Hayward 1200) filter cartridge. It does alot better than just a multi spray hose nozzle. It's decently made, although at the weld area I had to add some JB Weld because the job wasn't complete where the one piece meets the other. That was poorly done I have to say. Otherwise I am thrilled with the concept and use of this product. I watch lots more dirt and grime wash out of my filter cartridge in front of my eyes every time I clean it. I recommend this product, and my filter is alot more cleaner these days I have to say. And I spend less time cleaning it now. You can get up close and personal and place this right on the pleats, like you are combing it from top to bottom, and just the water is going inside the pleats washing all the gunk out. When I am done using it, I place it inside for safekeeping because I don't want to store it in the pool supply cabinet or in the hot Florida weather outside. I'd say the salt air and corrosion would set in on the holes if you do. Keep it somewhere safe indoors.
