Good value for the money
These vacuum breakers are well made and work great. I don't use the breakaway screws since after a few years in the hot sun any breaker I've used will develop leaks and need to be replaced. I also used an included washer to replace a leaky one on a hose. No more leaks.

Garden hose anti siphon valve

Doesn't work with any sort of valve directly downstream
Just chatters and spews water if trying to use with any sort of valve directly downstream, or even if there is a screen washer on your garden hose. A pintle protrudes from the vacuum breaker, which requires clearance downstream. Would not work with either a timer, or a 1/4 turn valve.Also, when water is shut off, all the back pressure in your garden hose will exit through this device, wetting the entire area. Nice looking unit, and seems functional, but did not work in my application.

Decided not to use them.
I did not use these at all. They will fail in time especially if you have hard water. That's why I thought I would replace them however I know I will be replacing them again in the future and it is very difficult to get them off without damaging the threads on the hose bib in the process.

Backflow vendor works great. Set an a hook in line with a hose. Don’t have to do a thing.

Damaged goods
One of these valves was fine and worked as advertised. The other looks like it was dragged behind a car on a concrete street. Damaged does not adequately describe the condition. Obviously this unit was installed or removed with pliers, probably water pump pliers, with the attendant jaw grip damage. Considering that the unit leaks and defies all efforts to seal...so far. Since it is obvious that this unit was damaged before it was shipped to me, I have to assume the original purchaser had the same issues with leaking, and returned it.Since one works, and I only need one, I will keep the damaged one and fix the problem. I only hope that shipping returned defective and damaged items is not their standard procedure.

Leaks from set screw
Sprays a stream of mist from the set screw. It seems like it is too low.
