Does the 1.5 belt clip accommodate a belt thickness of .37"?

It will but it’s designed for a standard .25” thick belt. I’m coming out with a new injection molded clip that accommodates ALL belt sizes plus it’ll be rotatable 0 / 45 / 90 degrees in both directions for all available units ! It’ll be available in about 6 months !

Is there any way to remove the belt clip?

You could drill out the rivets but that would also ruin the tension of the internal springs that provide the tension for the bit kits. This spring is in between the belt clip and the body and secured with the rivets.

Will this fit both bit kits?

Yes it will ! It will also hold just one bit kit when the other is removed due to the internal spring. The bit extension side slot also has a NEO magnet inside to secure the extension.

Not quite sure what you are asking as I can interpret your question 2 if not 3 different ways; so, I'll give a generic break-down and hope that helps clear up any miss-understanding and removes any doubts.

There are 4 Leatherman parts being referenced here:
 - the driver bits -OR- “bits” are the different tips that click into the Leatherman tool- such as Philips, Flat/Regular, and Hex
 - the bit driver is the part of the Leatherman multi-tool that holds the different bits mentioned above
 - the bit driver extender -OR- “extender” is the accessory that holds the bits and clicks into the bit driver on the Leatherman multi-tool to increase the tool’s reach
 - the bit kit set is all the extra bits and the plastic frames that keep the bits together while they are not being used by the Leatherman multi-tool

This sheath (as per the name description) clips onto the belt and holds the bit kit (both plastic frames filled with the extra bits) in the center compartment.  The plastic frames slide in from the top and are held firmly in place by an internal spring.

This sheath also has a side tube with a magnet at the bottom that holds 1 extender.  The magnet keeps the extender from falling out while the sheath is being jostled about.

This sheath is well designed.  After extensive use wearing this on my belt while moving about and even running and jumping, I have yet to lose any components.  Everything is firmly secured yet easily accessible and simple to grab with only minor effort to remove.

 - the side tube holds only 1 driver bit extender

- the “bit driver” is not held by this sheath, because it is part of the Leatherman multi-tool (Signal, Charge, Skeletool, Wave, etc)

- a bit could be left in the extender (the extender holds the bits firmly) and still have the extender held by the sheath as only one end of the extender needs to go down the tube to be held by the magnet.  The square end of the extender will be held firmly by the magnet, which leaves the bit is sticking out. If the bit end of the extender goes down the tube, the magnet may not hold onto the bit adequately (especially pointy ones).
 … + not sure why you would want to store a single bit in the extender when it belongs back in the bit kit, unless you are doing this for temporary convenience while using a different bit in the bit driver of your multi-tool.  In that case, yes,  that would work (just be careful of the sharp bit sticking up at your waist or wherever the sheath has been set)
 … + if you leave multi-tool bit driver -> extender -> bit all assembled, you could drop the extender in (bit first) and have it hold the entire multi-tool temporarily, but this is awkward (especially on the belt) and there are better means of holding an assembled/deployed Leatherman multi-tool

- if you leave multi-tool bit driver -> bit assembled with NO extender, then, no, the bit driver does not fit in the tube, as the tube is designed specifically for the diameter of the extender
… + again, not sure why you would want to do such a thing as the sheath is designed for convenient, secure, and accessible storage of multi-tool accessories when not in use (also see the previous point about deployed multi-tools)
