This needs a POWERED XLR adapter if running directly to camcorder or mixing board FYI
Just a heads up, wireless packs provide power to these mics, but if you're running them directly to an XLR jack instead, a regular mini 3.5 to XLR converter will NOT work because they don't supply that power.Rode has their own "Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter" product, you need to either have that or get something like this Movo integrated Phantom Power Converter:https://www.amazon.com/Movo-Mini-Jack-Microphone-Connector-Integrated/dp/B07L42PBY5/Hope this helps, I almost wound up returning mine thinking it was broken, this info isn't clearly stated anywhere that I noticed.

Defective item.
The item was not in original packaging. It was used and is defective. It crackles through every recording. This is a pity, because it is in many videos. Bad sound quality. This is the most expensive mic I've bought from Rode and the worst experience to date. Not worth the money. It took me a long time to admit that I was cheated. I just couldn't bleieve it. This seller is not realiable, selling used, defective items as new.

Comfortable. Clear audio. Stays put. Well done Rode!
No issues at all. Does what you intend it to do. Very Comfortable and stays in place on your face. It’s light weight so it doesn’t feel like it there.I’ve had Countryman’s that weren’t as comfortable that cost twice as much.So kudos to Rode who made a great affordable quality headset!

A gift but seems less intrusive than many other one

Excellent Mic
Quite likely the best headset mic I’ve used. I use it for broadcasting online. Clean natural sound. Slim design. I pair mine with the rodelink wireless system and it’s perfect. I wish it had a up and downward pivoting boom. It’s in a fixed position one the headset is on but it’s designed to be bent into position. I just don’t feel comfortable bending it because it feels really sturdy. With some light processing you can tune to taste. I own about 15 top end mics and this one does not disappoint. See my wife wearing it in the photo. A no brainer. It’s one of those “just shut up and take my money” things. Trust me it’s worth it.

Ok until it broke
Had the headset for about 8 months then it broke. Very disappointing.

Broke in less than 2 months
The media could not be loaded. For a $300 headset to already be broken in less than 2 months is ridiculous. It looks flimsy when you open the box but I figured for $300 it would be fine, ya I was wrong. Now I can't move at all cause the headset plug produces its own feedback. And yes, I tried a different headset and there was no issue so it is definitely the Rode HS2 messing up. $300 freakin dollars, smh

RODE completely missed the mark on this one
Fiddled around with it for 5 minutes and could get it to stay in place. The arm is very rigid/inflexible, hence people are straight up snapping it trying to adjust.I usually like RODE products but this one is a bonehard miss.
