OREI Travel Adapter US to Denmark Plug Adapter - Type K - Universal 2 in 1 - CE Certified - RoHS Compliant - White (DB-20)

I used this on a recent trip to Copenhagen. I have to present from my laptop and teach classes, some of which take all day. So, I need power. This plug worked great. It fit into all plugs I found in Denmark, and it worked fine with my laptop plug. It does exactly what I needed so I could keep working. I like the little secondary plug at the top too. It means I can charge my tablet while I'm working on the laptop.

Although the prongs are right, all the outlets I encountered while in Copenhagen were round and recessed. This adapter is square and doesn't fit into the round recessed outlet, so it sits 1/2 inch away from the outlet and the prongs just barely go into the outlet but won't stay in. They need to change the shape of their adapter to fit into the round recess or it is basiaclly useless. Not good when I found this out already in Denmark with no backup plan.

Priceless item when you travel to Europe. If travelling with more than one person, you may want to buy more than one. You may even want two for yourself if you travel with a lot of electronic gadgets (or at least bring along a multi- plug from home as well).NOTE: I HAVE SINCE FOUND A CUBE ADAPTER THAT HAS ALL OF THE PLUGS NEEDED FOR EUROPE IN ONE. I WOULD PURCHASE THAT TO SAVE SPACE AND NEVER BE WITHOUT AN ADAPTER FOR THE COUNTRY YOU ARE IN. AGAIN, YOU MAY WANT TO PURCHASE SEVERAL SO YOU HAVE ENOUGH FOR ALL OF YOUR ELECTRONIC GADGETS (IT SEEMS TO BE MORE AND MORE THSESE DAYS) AND SO THAT YOU CAN USE THEM AROUND THE ROOM YOU ARE STAYING IN AS THEY CAN BE BULKY IF ALL USED AT ONE OUTLET SOURCE. A MULTI-PLUG FROM HOME AND PERHAPS EVEN A SHORT EXTENSION CORD MAY ALSO BE A WORTHWHILE TRAVEL ITEM. SO YOU CAN CONECT SEVERAL ITEMS TO ONE UNIVERSAL ADAPTER.

I do not recommend this adaptor. First, it's hard to find 3-prong outlets in Denmark. Second, most plugs and outlets are round and this one is square. Even if you can find a 3 prong outlet, the square adaptor won't fit in it. A helpful innkeeper sawed off the lip of a 3prong to 2prong adaptor so I could finally fit this adaptor in it, otherwise it would have been totally useless.

It is great to be able to plug 2 things into one adapter. We travel with many more electronics these days, so the extra outlet was helpful!

Many sockets in Denmark are round (same as Norway and Sweden) . While the plug prongs match the socket holes well, the rounded off square plug shape does not "seat" well in the newer round socket. Square peg, round hole, leads to a situation that was potentially hazardous. I went with the two prong "europlugs" for my charger instead which worked just fine.

Worked great in Copenhagen and Iceland so glad I got this:)
