I love these. The magnet is pretty strong. It’s not going to just fall off. It’s not quite strong enough to hold vertically, upside down, but that’s expected. I bought these for most of my usb c devices

Excellent magnetic adapter
The magnetic adapter works better than the built in magnetic plug on one of my tablets. I have not used it for data transfer, just for power. For power, it works perfectly with no loss in charging time. I am using the adapter on the usb-c port of my Samsung laptop. All I need to do to connect is place my laptop's usb-c port near the mating magnetic plug on my power cord and it snaps into place. Works excellently! For this purpose I would definitely recommend and will buy again!

STRONG Magnets but DO NOT buy for docking the Steam Deck
The magnets on these are seriously strong. Stronger than any other similar product I've tried. They are strong enough that on some devices, if you attempt pull it apart by pulling directly away, it may unplug the smaller part from your device. I find it best to roll the connector up or down to disconnect. This is an extremely well build product. There's no cheap plastic here; they are mostly metal (I'm assuming aluminum). In fact, as others have pointed out, they are a bit chunky. The LED power indicator on the adapter is an extra touch that helps to ensure that you've plugged in a cable that actually has power. This is an excellent product (for most uses); I've already purchased another couple of the 2-packs.For the record, the "2-pack" contains two of the larger pieces and two of the smaller pieces (exactly what I expected). For Steam Deck owners: This definitely works FOR POWER. Required power is successfully sent to the Steam Deck. I have no trouble charging both at rest and while playing. However, the connector is a bit chunky. When angled to the left, it covers part of the vent exhaust port. When angled to the right, it directly covers the power button. Not ideal for the Steam Deck. For Steam Deck & JSAUX Docking Station owners: This does NOT work for this combination. The USB cable from the dock is not long enough to add this connector between them and still fit it in the cradle. The Steam Deck can still be connected by setting it next to the cradle, however, while charging does work, NOTHING ELSE DOES. No video signal makes it through.Bottom line, do not buy this to use with the Steam Deck.

In case anyone has used these items before. The 1 pack and the 2 pack come in identical boxes. Therefore the only way to know what you received is to open it. I recently ordered the 2 pack and erroneously thought that i got the 1 pack due to this looking exactly like the 1 pack that i have ordered in the past.Product works fine.I use these to charge my mobile devices, laptop and anything else that requires a usb c connection. Thought process is to use these instead of constantly inserting and removing the charging cable and thus weaking the port that said cable plugs into. Much cheaper than trying to fix/repair a phone or laptop.

✅ Saved my laptop laptop, ❌ stop using if I becomes damaged
I've seen bad reviews here from people have broken theirs then continue to use it and then damage their laptopMine hasn't broken, but this things job is to protect your laptop and being ripped off the counter, if it does that and saves your laptop but The little magnetic adapter brakes it is done its job. It's like giving a bad review because you ran over your phone with a car, broke the phone case and continue to use it only to have the phone damage later.... The plastic on the end of the connector is was keeping the pins all aligned correctly if the plastic is broken you're going to short something out.Yah, Less than a week after I got this I managed to trip over my power cable while using my walking pad at my standing desk.It popped off without moving the laptop at all or damaging the charging portBecause I effectively accidentally stomped on the cable, force of it being ripped out yeeted the adapter across the room. Fortunately I knew my level of derpiness and bought this the same time as the treadmill. But when you crack the cable like a whip, that's going to happen that's not the adapters fault.

poor quality, self-destruct in a week, damaging to the c-port of the device
I've purchased a less expensive version of these before and foolishly thought maybe a slightly more expensive version would be decent, but I was wrong. not only do these last MAYBE a week at most (especially for laptops, which are typically plugged and unplugged a few times per day), they also damage the computer port they're designed to protect! after installing this on the right side of my new HP Chromebook, the coupling device fell apart and the c-port no longer works. fortunately, this particular Chromebook has ports on either side, so my machine's not totally useless, just damaged.I definitely do NOT advise buying these for your laptop or any other device. even if they somehow manage to last longer than a week, they damage the very port they're supposed to protect. worse than useless.

Prevents Laptop From Sleeping When Lid Closed 2018 Intel Macbook Pro
If the little USB-C plug is plugged in, the laptop doesn't sleep when the lid is closed. Any other USB-C cable does not prevent sleep when lid is closed. Not sure if the plugs are faulty or incompatible with my 2018 Intel Macbook Pro. I've tried both plugs that came in the package and I've tried all 4 ports and the problem exists with all of them. Remove the little USB-C plug and sleep-on lid-close behavior returns to normal. So I need to manually sleep the computer before closing the lid, otherwise the battery will drain anytime the magnetic charger is not plugged in.Quality of construction seems great.Magnet strength is just right. The little USB-C plug is low-profile and very snug. It's a bit bulky with the little plug, magnet adapter, and cord all connected.Prior to this I had a 90-degree cable, and while I LOVE magsafe charging ports and wish apple never deviated from that, I would probably choose to go back to the normal 90-degree cable instead of this.
