WOW!
I bought 2 of these for may 200gal Saltwater Tank 3-4 years ago. I have never cleaned them and they are still going strong. They are powerful so choose wisely. Great product!!Edit: It has been over 5 years now. Still going strong and still never been cleaned. I think it moves so much water it pretty much cleans itself.

3 years and still going strong
I’ve had this running for 3-4 years non stop first in a 125 mixed reef and then in a 210. Crazy powerful. Never cleaned or maintained it, about to buy a replacement just because this has lived a good life and by now it’s gotta be leeching something into the tank. I use the wave mode constantly, even when lights are off fish don’t seem to mind they find a rock to sleep in. Great buy and value.

Powerful, magnetic back, functional wavemaker controller
The media could not be loaded. We have two of these on our six-foot-long marine aquarium. Affordable, powerful and easy to adjust in terms of flow and a nicely featured controller make these a steal if you want water flow on a budget. Highly recommend! We gave them a 4 out of 5 because you cannot pair two with a single controller.

Wow...Killer Wavemaker!
The media could not be loaded. It's just day one after installing the W-40, but I'm super impressed to this point. I've got a 180 gallon, six foot tank, and running it on 40% power, it's more than enough movement for what I'm looking for. It's kicken up the detritus and moving it to my two FX6 intakes. Anxious to see how much cleaner the water looks after it runs a few days. It's whisper quiet too. Also, I did notice that if it's to close to the surface, it will cyclone the surface and you can actually hear it sucking. This happened at 40% and I had to drop it a few more inches from the surface to get that suction noise to stop.I researched and studied for a few weeks before I made this purchase. I'll bet I looked at roughly 50 or more wavemakers and am glad I got this one! The price was also a huge bonus in my mind! Can't go wrong with this one imho.I am beyond happy at this point and will update this review after it's had a chance to run a few weeks.

Way too powerful for my 45 gallon tank.
For the price this is a great item. Initial impressions were build seems sturdy and easy setup. Very nice magnet attachment. This unit does not add any noise to my tank and the adjustable fan speed and wave option is a nice feature. Oh, and it moves alot of water, too much for my 45 gallon tank.

Only 25 days use from it.
The motor quit working about three days before the end of the return date; it worked 25 days for me. I didn't realize that I had only a couple of days to deal with the return. However, it did not matter as I was extremely busy getting ready to leave town for a week and would not have had the time to deal with it. When it worked it performed well and it had all the features I needed. by the way, the impeller still turns freely so I have no idea what is the problem.

Maybe too powerful?
I would rate higher if not for too strong of a flow in the lowest setting. If you are looking for serious water movement as others have stated this moves some serious water. Wave function found to be the best setting as the other settings were difficult to gauge any changes (both active reef and "non active"). Pointing pump just abut 80 Degree from bottom of tank w/ lowest setting seems to create a nice flow for our setup (75 gal). When compared to MP40 Vortec. It flows more but as noted not the same level of tuning, nor as refined, but also no where near the $$$. Quiet, moves water, may take a few tries / placement, and angles for optimal flow but seems good. As others have noted picking up sleeve/guard as did have an encounter with newly picked up anenome that had not fully attached.
