So far, so good. Just installed them into 1x1 steel square tubing and they're holding up a table saw extension (drop-leaf style) table. My concrete floor is awfully difficult for any hardware because it's so unlevel. But the brackets work exactly as stated. I did not have the difficulty with engaging them (open or close). I read many reviews about this, and I was kind of expecting to have to take one spring out - as someone suggested. Didn't have to, they open and close with the lever, easily - and I've got bum thumbs too! I used 4 of my own screws in the table part (each), and 2 - 10-32x2" bolts in the metal legs. I did have to ever so slightly, make the holes in the brackets a bit larger to accommodate the 10-32 bolts. I can confirm, as there are somewhat conflicting reviews, they definitely do not lock in the closed position - they are pretty solidly locked in the open position though! I plan on simply drilling a hole through both legs and keeping them lock closed with a pin that runs through them both.

The bracket does not lock in the folded position, it only has a stop position indentation. It does not lock as another comment indicated. In the unfolded position with legs extended for normal use, there is a lock, which appears to be sturdy. The bracket appears to be good for light to medium duty; I have not used them much at this point and fear if used in a heavy-duty role they might bend. We are mounting legs that weigh a couple of pounds. Also note, I twisted off the top of two of the screws tightening them, even with pre-drilled holes, so they are not extremely tough. The rubber piece on the unlock lever will need to be glued on to keep it from falling off after a couple of uses. Other, than that, I am happy with the brackets and believe they will meet our needs.

Seem to be sturdy and of good enough quality, definitely work for my purposes. Glad they also come with plenty of screws, just make sure to not use too much torque on supplied screws bc screw heads will snap/break off.

Very solid, and strong. I used then for a folding stand in my RV that needs to bear heavy weight. THese were perfect.

We are building a custom desk and needed the ability to have foldable legs and these accomplished that. These are as described! The install was easy and they work great.

Great hinges in general! Sturdy and reasonable design. Be careful not to pinch your finger when unlock/lock them if not assembled yet. Safe and pleasant to use after assembled!
