One of the best knee braces I’ve tried out of a dozen or so
I just put this brace on, so it hasn’t gone through a ton of use yet, but normally I’d already have concluded that I hate a brace by now. I have a hypermobility disorder and my patella doesn’t track correctly (and gots both ways, so a j-brace won’t work), and my fibula subluxes, so I either need a brace that I can fit something else under for that or that has a strap right under the head of the fibula. This one’s straps might work, if not I don’t think I’ll have a problem fitting something under for my fibula.Depending on what you need, there might be better options, but I think this is the best for ppl who want adjustable compression, patella support, and good side support/hinges. It’s also very affordable, which most aren’t. I prefer this brace to $100+ braces I’ve tried. My biggest complaint is that the Velcro will tear apart the stretchy material that most of the brace touching your skin is made of, so you have to be super careful to only keep it where it is supposed to go.

Brilliant brace; runs REALLY small for anyone with sturdy thighs
First off, this is a really amazing knee brace—and it's a steal at the under-$20 price I paid. Even though I've been off of hockey for nearly three weeks with a knee sprain, I was able to skate without discomfort with even the "Moderate" level support. I am excited to get back to playing this week . . . after I receive the next size up in the mail.I had previously ordered another very well-reviewed hinged brace on Amazon, and found that the fit was extremely loose. So I measured carefully for this one, and went with the smallest size category I fit in.All I can say is that whoever designed this brace seems to have had runners in mind, not hockey players (and probably not curvy women in any sport)! To explain: hockey players have little calf development, but massive thighs. Even as a consistent rec-level player, I definitely can see this imbalance in my own legs. I could hardly get the brace onto my leg at all in the recommended "Small," but even when I moved up to "Medium," I had to struggle mightily to get the brace up over my knee.I think I'm likely to end up in a "Large" size brace even though I'm only a medium-sized female. So I recommend ordering one or two sizes up if you have any muscle development in your thighs—and seeking another brace if you're actually a large person.

Very good and light weight
I have 2 other Shock Doctor knee braces that are of the hinged type. Had interior meniscus op 1.5 years ago and I am 52 years old still playing a good bit of tennis and golf. This is the Ultra Knit Knee Support brace as I am now to a point where I wanted to reduce the amount of bracing to help my knee continue to get back to full strength and maybe stop using a brace. This brace is of excellent quality and I will say it works well as I have played tennis twice and a round of golf. The support was what I needed and worked well. I did have a little bunching behind the knee with the spandex type material but it did not cause any chaffing or anything. Most likely just something to get used to with a new brace and the last match I played it was 90F and played for 2 hours.I recommend this for anyone looking for a lighter brace and it does work well under pants too.

Super Secure Patella
I have a knee that commonly dislocates(shifts to the side of leg) when I make jarring movements. I picked up a cheap $15 brace that was purely neoprene and found that my knee was still able to dislocate with compression alone. I knew I had to upgrade and this was my choice. I like the product and I think it's worth its cost. This brace puts my knee in a prison locks it down. It has a bunch of straps and even side braces built into the brace that you can't see in the images. I love how secure it makes my knee feel. Definitely gave me more confidence in my movements when I train.Haven't had problems since buying. I play basketball and train brazlian jiu jitsu.

Great product. Terrible description/ information
The knee brace is great. Very good quality, very well made. But, I'm giving 3 stars because no pictures, inaccurate information and bad chart size.Even though, I gave a chance to try, because I hear good things about it. So, I followed the chart size and got S. It was way too tight. Really too much! So I returned and got the L but with more wraps, because even if a bit loose, should be good having the wraps to adjust. But this one comes with hinges, different than the another one that comes only with some lateral support. And this also put too much pressure behind my knee. It needs a lot more information. We already can not try. If you don't give information, it's really difficult! This is too bulky for me and for what I need, so I'm returning again, sorry. But I really recommend this for those who needs a very strong and supportive brace.
