Perfect condition and on time

Maybe I wasn't quite in the mood?! This is beautifully filmed/photographed on stunning locations, with sets to match, and a good cast. Sadly, for me that was it. The plot was straight out of "Arnie" and "Conan" with Skarsgaard in fine fettle as our hero...except - Unlike Arnie, there was no empathy for the character. He bellows a lot, fights a fair bit and mumbles a lot too. Supported by a miscast ? Anna Taylor-Joy who failed to convince me, good actress that she is - just not here. The bad guys all look alike and there is a continuous air of violence waiting just around the corner. Funnily enopugh there is NO swearing ("Brittania" makers take note) and whilst the violence when it happens is strong, I have seen much stronger explicit stuff. The ending is bizarre in estreme, but beautifully filmed. Many will enjoy this, but "The Vikings" "Lost Kingdom" it isn't. Never was intended to be I suppose. Anyway, it is worth taking a chance on. The transfer is excellent with good sound and subtitles. Just a little bit of light relief would have been welcome amidst all the dirt and blood. (P.S. If you spot Willem Dafoe you are a better man.....)

Not typically Hollywood (despite the all star cast), and perhaps that is what the people who did not like this movie are missing. No glitter, no glamour, no beautiful costumes, no make up, even the few pieces of jewellery that you see appear oddly imperfect and, well, authentic for the time period. With the exception of the few supernatural elements, and the copious amounts of blood, there are no bright colours.It is all very much in keeping with the time period, down to the language ('maiden king', rather than 'queen', 'cunning person' rather than 'witch') and so on.It is true that it is difficult to really build a connection or root for any of the characters. Given that they all suffer, in one way or another, it is perhaps not a bad thing that the viewer cannot get emotionally involved. This could be why some viewers are 'bored' when watching this movie, because you never feel any suspense or disappointment, or awe or pity. If you need this, then this movie is not for you.Bottom line is, you are watching a Viking tale where you have to accept each element as fate that could never have unfolded any other way. I was impressed, but it certainly is not for everyone.

Not impressed with film quite disappointed in it.

Honestly compared to Vikings this is just cr*p. There is no rhyme nor reason the the repetitive spilling of organs and vile cruelties...and the howling thing????? Really The setting was cheap, the costumes dismal, the dialog dire, who on earth financed the making of this dross. A total waste of time and money.Make more of the Vikings series at least the production vales were good this was a hideous watch I didn't finish it.

Bought this since in the coming years they'll probably edit the heck out of it digitally!I jest, but only in part.Great action, story-telling and research went into this movie. It's got good names in from new and old stars alike.CGI was minimally used and so you get a very realistic and immersive movie that draws you in from the get-go.My only 'dislike' of the film was you know few like it ever get made in a decade or more.

☀️ ...well You wanted a horific tale so here's a horific tale, You'll Love it ... Am sure that there iz themes for memorable tales of Norse legend beyond these ... az : there are Love stories, wild adventures, that can represent the culture and depict ways of living and sharing and stuff ... so iz when film makers choose a "salable" for big company profit, item (story ) , that We shall see the genre broadened in its field of vision🎶 but Yea the cast of popular faces make theez ( stories ) work well of course, this another revenge story ... which You'll remember in "Vikings" the obsessive revenge ( although diferent ) of "Ivan" the terrible brought down to ruin, the Norse population and the achievements and progress made for the the people loyal to their leaders ...🌈Yipe !! and for the destruction, that was a long €pic ... €njoy🤣 Skol,☀️🌈🌴🌴🌏🎶🎶💕

Great film if you like action this is the one to get.
