I would definitely recommend these magnetic bookmarks. The artwork is beautiful with calming colors and a satin finish. The magnets cover both sides of the inner surface and the pictures are the same on either side.As for the magnet strength, since I don't have a gauss meter, I can only describe them as best I can. The magnets are strong enough to hold a stack of 4 bookmarks of this set together when lifted and can bind 9 journal pages at one time. I opened up the magnet and stuck it to a metal surface. I was able to secure seven 3x5" index cards at a time if I placed the magnet crosswise.
