Quiet and looks classy!
Let me preface this by saying I have no experience with fish tanks except for a $5 basic one when I was a kid. Fast forward (many) years and we were gifted with a few guppies. After seeing that they all survived and the interest remained high for a month, I bought this.I chose this aquarium primarily for it's looks. I have a small apartment and knew this would be in a high traffic area and wanted something that didn't look so clunky. I was impressed with this aquarium kit. I like that it came with everything, including the ceramic media (fake rocks) for the bottom, and a lid for the top. When I say it came with everything, I do not mean the decorations--the 2 pink biOrb fake plants were bought as a pair and the white biOrb sea lily and airplane were purchased separately as well.I read a LOT of reviews before I decide to buy about anything, and this was no exception because I didn't know what I would need. One reviewer suggested the 2 packages of ceramic media was not enough. I'm not sure, but maybe they were building something grand in there because I thought it was plenty. I also read someone complain that it was loud. This thing is QUIET, I promise you--but make sure you don't have the pump against something that could make it rattle. Basically, just keep the rubber feet on it or use a stick-on felt pad. The instructions that came with the biOrb were clear, and the whole setup took maybe 10 minutes, the longest part being rinsing the rocks.I opted for the biOrb plants because I'm foolish and thought they are somehow superior. Maybe they are. But they look about like any fake aquarium plant to me--weighted at the bottom a little so you can bury it and that's about it.Lastly, I know you're supposed to prep your tank for weeks (months?) before adding your fish. Well, I didn't because that seemed excessive for fish that aren't fancy. The biOrb came with a water conditioner and a bacteria packet that you put in a day before adding the fish. I did that and none of my cute lil' fish seemed to have any problem (in fact opposite since they started giving birth :/ right after).I know some of you who are super knowledgable will roll eyes over this review probably because I picked the tank for the wrong reason and didn't do all the fancy show fish things you're supposed to. However, for anyone looking for a nice quality smallish acrylic tank that comes with everything, does a great job filtering, and is an attention-grabber, look no further. I also set up the maintenance kits on Subscribe & Save to make it easy!

Súper quite and well made
I really like this fish tank. It looks nice in my studio and the pump is extremely quiet. The light it’s too bright but nothing that can’t be fixed with little creativity. I totally recommend this product. I even had an issue with the first I ordered and the company solved immediately the issue. Five stars ⭐️

Beautiful and fish are happy!
The media could not be loaded. This 9 gallon to Biorb is very beautiful, very eye-catching and the fish I have in it I love it as well. I have 5 fish, one Cory catfish and one Nerite snail. They all seem to be comfortable in there environment, I didn’t want to overcrowd. Are use only Biorb decor and products. I also bought the plug on the top to cover the feeding hole so my snail can’t escape. It is very easy to set up and maintain. I use a heater since my fish are tropical, even my Koi Betta enjoys having the heater. They need it.It’s a nice size, my favorite one out of the collection of biorbs. Please make sure you cycle your tank if you’re new to fish go on YouTube and get educated on the nitrogen cycle. If you just throw your fish in first day they will die. You can also add prime and stability by seacam daily until your tank is cycled, that’s another way of going about it.Enjoy!

Nice looking aquarium. Easy to access interior.
My male betta and large catfish seem to like this aquarium and the way I decorated it. I added a larger flat feeding dish area over the filtration rocks so the food of the bottom feeding catfish would not get lost in among the filter rocks which are large in size. The 9 gallon size gives them plenty of swimming and exploring room. The filter works well with the protective center tube cap I bought extra. The whole top is removable so it is easy to access the inside. I use the bacterial pollution remover “Pristine” along with removing a gallon of water weekly and it keeps clean and fresh smelling. It is nice that the light intensity and color is so adjustable. I hope by not overstocking the tank, not over feeding, proper water maintenance and lighting, this aquarium will be easy to maintain. Time will tell. The acrylic sides are thick and keep the heat in well. There is room for a heater if your room temperature is colder. The curved sides of the tube do distort and enlarge the view inside in some areas, but not as bad as biorb tanks do.

Dying fish
I really wanted to love this Biorb. I have attempted with many different types of fish- platys, guppy’s, betas. I’ve had schools of fish and a single fish on their own. I’ve bought new media and filters. Lots of water testing, bought their plants and their signature log hiding spot for the center. Tried buying fish from a reputable fish store VS petco. I grew up with fish and we never had problems like this- fish die in the cylinder Biorb. I’m beginning to question if they get stressed by the way the cylinder makes the view look distorted. Waste of time and money.
