Easy use straight out of the box and allows for multiple modes to ensure accurate temp. No complaints and has helped several times in the middle of the night as it doesn't talk or beep but will light up in colors to indicate normal vs abnormal.

I can take my temperature 3 times and get three different results. It’s frustrating especially since I have a newborn. It would not give me an accurate reading for him or me. I honestly don’t use it. It was a waste of money.

Apparently if one just turns it on without holding it close to the person or object ( if in that mode) the screen will display “Lo”. My first reaction was that the included batteries might be low and I replaced them only to get the same reading. So, after checking the manual, which I should have read first, I found that it has to be close to the person’s forehead or ear and held there until the second beep to get an accurate reading.The included AAA batteries are fine and one of the things that I like about this thermometer is the fact that it uses common size batteries. I have found it very frustrating with other styles when I have needed to check a temperature and then found that a new button style battery was needed and was not one that I had in reserve. I always have a fresh stock of AAA batteries so I don’t have to worry about having new ones if needed.BLACK+DECKER 3-in-1 Infrared Thermometer has an easy to read screen and even includes a color coded bar to indicate whether the temperature is in the normal, low grade or high grade fever range. It stores readings in memory to make it easy to see if a fever is going up or down. It seems very durable and the reading appears to be accurate.

I double checked this infrared thermometer's results against a normal under the tongue type, and was gratified to note that the results were fairly consistent between the two. Because this infrared one is used by running it across the forehead, sometimes you run across a slightly different area and get an ever so slightly different result, but overall the results were consistent enough to give me the idea of whether somebody was in the 99 range or the 101 range.After using this through to illnesses this winter, it's become my new favorites thermometer. I've tried a number of thermometers of this style in the past and they were all over the place in their readings, but this one was really consistent and the results meshed with what I expected to see given how sick people in my household looked.

I was so happy to get this one and I can say that I highly recommend.PROSEasy to use and has a LCD display that can do F or C.Does offer memory but I don't use that feature.Can use on forehead and ear...which I love to double check in the ear too.Includes that 2 AAA batteries needed.Accurate temperature readings time after time.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This thermometer is accurate, and gives the same temp every time I test it on myself, consecutively. At first, it wasn't accurate, but I read the instructions which state that you need to have it 3 centimeters from your forehead to get an accurate reading. Yep, that worked, because now it is reading correctly. You can use either the forehead, or the ear reading. To use the ear reading, you just remove the forehead cap and there is a cone like device underneath that fits into your ear. Just press and hold the button until it beeps, which is in literally seconds, and you have a reading. I have a hard time finding accurate thermometers, so I took this brand name in hopes that this one would work. It does!
