Over the last two weeks, I've been taking Nutricost magnesium malate at 2,100 mg and find it very agreeable. It helps for muscle recovery and alleviating pent-up stress when taken at 420 mg per serving. The whole product contains 180 capsules (60 servings) which is incredibly good value for two months. They are vegetarian and non-GMO, and do not contain gluten and soy-all those are made in a GMP-compliant facility registered with the FDA-I like that about them. Very easy to swallow-no aftertaste and no belly upset.

I think this type of magnesium works better and is less aggressive on your stomach than other types. Seems good. I take this at night with vitamin d.

In general I have found the nutricost brand to offer the best quality & value for a wide variety of supplements that I use. This was no different for their magnesium malate capsules. They were clearly the best option for me, when I first began using them their magnesium malate capsules contained one a SINGLE ingredient: magnesium malate. Slowly, they began adding fillers / flow agents like stearate. At the time of this review, their capsules now contain: "rice extract, rice hulls, gum arabic, sunflower oil, & magnesium stearate" ... multiple additives / flow agents / fillers. VERY disappointing! I cannot tolerate supplements with certain fillers / flow agents, so I can no longer use their capsule form.Previously, when their magnesium malate capsules only contained a single ingredient; magnesium malate, I would have given them 5 stars. But now I have to rate them lower, until / unless they remove the additives! Instead, now I am forced to use their powder form of pure magnesium malate. This is much less convenient than the capsules, as I have to measure out powder multiple times daily. I understand that some compounds are difficult to encapsulate quickly with machinery, and that flow agents are used to make this process more efficient. But they were able to produce capsules without the fillers / flow agents previously for a reasonable cost, so I don't understand why that has changed, unless they are simply cutting costs.

I have been searching for magnesium that will help me with some energy and this is the stuff! Good supplement at a good price.
