Equine Medical and Surgical Heave Ho Supplement 30 Servings Molasses

I have an older mare who is having difficulty from the heat and coughing. A lot from the dryness. This has been 1 werk so far and to me She does look sound betteralready.Also verypicky about taste so I put it in some soaked alfalfa and that does the trick

My vet recomended Heave Ho for my 20+ year old QH mare. She likes the flavor now but it took her a week or so to get used to it. I mix it with her soaked alfalfa pellets and grain so it won't puff up into her face when she puts her nose in the bucket.

I do love this product my mare has heaves and and it has helped her tremendously she does still have a cough when we first start to trot but no longer has issues hanging out in her paddock or pasture. She does still have ruff days when it’s really hot n humid. But when I had a horse who just kinda walked slow in the pasture to now takes off into a canter just bc she feels good enough to I say it’s a win :)

I have been struggling with a heavey pony for 10 years. I have managed it in the past through steaming and meds but it has been stressful for both of us, especially when it comes to giving shots. He is a fussy eater so i wasn't surprised when he wouldn't eat it on his feed. The syringe works easily and we end with a treat which works well enough that I don't even need to halter him. I may have to do twice a day longer than recommended but I am so happy to see him breathing, i think it is well worth it. We had gotten to that discussion about quality of life so i am relieved to have an answer.

I ordered this for my mini who has heaves and coughs a lot. She normally eats anything but won't touch this powder. I tried giving it to my other horses just to see if they'd eat it but they won't either (including two who will eat anything). I can't return the product to their return policy so I'm stuck with it. I'm ordering a different product that comes as pellets so she'll eat it.

Spendy but well worth the money. Bought it for one of our new horses who ran afoul of the Texas air as soon as we got him home. Runny nose and eyes, cough, wheezing. Administered an antibiotic for 3 days that didn't touch his symptoms but after 4 days of administering Heave Ho as directed our new horse was breathing normally and no more mucus. Am giving the molasses flavor which seems satisfactory if I mix with water before adding to his feed. Will continue a maintenance dose until the Texas air quality improves and/or his histamines adjust to this new environment. Am very satisfied with this product.

My horse has struggled with heaves for years. We have tried so many medications that seemed to have horrible side effects and usually they didn’t really work well. It was getting too expensive to keep taking her to the vet so I decided to look up some alternatives. This popped up and the reviews looked great—and for great reason! As of now, this is pretty much the only thing that works for my mare and has no side effects! She’s not a huge fan of the taste but she gets it down. This product is a lifesaver!

No results, as I could not get my horse to eat this. Even putting it in her grain and coating it with maple syrup she would not eat it!
