I bought the book because I saw it in a store and was amazed at the balance of pictures and information. I'm working on a coffee table book myself and this book has got all the goods and a lot of insider material that gave me a lot of ideas. Anyone interested in the King will love this book and the accompanying DVD is great too!

I've now read over 40 books on Elvis, and this one still provided a new perspective.The book is done as a series of interview comments, mostly by Priscilla. I got the impression that her remarks had been edited, by her or an assistant, to make them reflect what she wanted to say. Indeed, the book comes across primarily as her reflections, but the comments by Lisa and others are important to the book.The comments tend to be quite candid and reveal day to day life, but they are short of being the brutal, in-depth statements provided in Elvis biographies. And, perhaps, well they should be. This is a reflection by his family.There are tons of photos; some are good, some not so; some are new, some not. There are pages of super-large print and photos, and there are some unnecessary blank spaces, all of which suggests an effort to stretch the content to make a bigger book.On page 85 there is a photo identifying a man as Vernon. i am thrilled to be able to be brought into the family memories of life with Elvis. it made me feel like a part of his family to share in all the memorabilia and accounts written by the people closest to him. my admiration goes out to Priscilla and Lisa Marie for sharing and for preserving his wonderful legacy, as a result of this book, elvis' number hits CD, and the 68 special DVD, my 17 yr. old son and 19 yr. old daughter have become Elvis fans...how wonderful that his legend will be appreciated and enjoyed throughout many more generations.

an inside look and beautiful pictures
