A good book for fans of Fleetwood Mac
Since Rumours was one of Fleetwood Mac's famous and popular albums of 1970s, it's a great book to read all about the behind the scenes of making an iconic album. Love the book

Musical Time Travel
As someone who appreciates details, especially about music, I'd be hard pressed to believe this book could have been written any better. From the most private and peripheral aspects to the more obvious and well-known stories retold over the years (and in many cases in a revisionist fashion), author and Rumours engineer and co-producer Ken Caillat captured a moment in musical history with a depth that could only have come from one who was there. And his ability to convey this connection ostensibly transports the reader back to 1976 where he or she is taken into the studio, writing sessions, bars, restaurants, cars and even homes of the band members as all these moments unfold.Whether it's the Naugahyde leather chair "drum" beat in "Second Hand News" (played by guitarist-vocalist Lindsey Buckingham), the sheet of glass which was broken and recorded for inclusion as a sound effect on "Gold Dust Woman" or any of the seemingly thousand other stories, drinks and substances in between that inspired the passion, tension, love, hate and all-around mixed emotions captured in the grooves of Rumours, what's uncovered and shared in these pages is a veritable treasure trove of inside information for the true Fleetwood Mac (and classic rock) fan.Titled offhandedly by bassist John McVie in response to all the stories they were hearing about themselves while they were tucked away in the secluded Record Plant studio in Sausalito, CA, the album (with a deliberate European spelling) went on to become one of the best selling of all time.If you lived through the 70s or became a fan of Rumours later on, this book is well worth the read - if for no other reason than to appreciate and relive that experience from an entirely new perspective.
