Had a chance to repair 5 of my patio lights I bought from a large retailer(Wal- ) that have just stopped working. In each case I desoldered the led from the old board and placed in this new board and transferred power and solar wires. In this throw away world I'm glad to be able to fix these patio lights. Once I figured out the first one the rest took less than 10 mins each to fix. These worked like a charm.

Maybe it was my fault, I did not know how small they were. They really did not fit my solar lights. I had to modify them

I bought this item to replace the corroded circuit boards on some old garden lights (w/multicolored LEDs). The old boards were a boost converter, with a 1.2 volt Ni-MH (2/3 AA) battery, and gave 3.0 - 3.5 volts to light the LED. I just got these boards thinking they were the same. I hooked one up to a fresh 1.2 volt battery. The battery voltage was 1.23 volt: I got only 1.14 volt at the LED. THE LED lit up, but only Red and didn't change color. I will play around some more, but so far I am disappointed. At least the solar cell control did work to turn the lamp on/off. If I get a better result I will revisit this review.

They work but not the same as the original if you have multi colored LEDs. They do not bump the voltage. And the lights will only work as RED leds. They are easy to install if you know how solider/ de-solider.
