Q: Will this work for a 1969 Chevelle

It worked on my stock 1966 Chevy Suburban automatic steering column coupled up to a 6L90 trans. I did however, need to order the longer rod. The one in the package was about 1.5" short. I wished they offered the kit with the longer rod in the first place but they got me for the additional money so why would they? A couple of gentle bends and it works very well!
