This Soundwave means business!
Not a bad interpretation from the robots in Disguise line. My daughter asked if I would get her a bad guy, that the windblade and Arcee figure could combat. This is actually a nice looking Soundwave. He actually looks like he could do some damage.

Good material, good color, shinny, durable.
Good material, good color, shinny, durable. It doesn't look too cheap as a birthday gift. My 5 years old boy get some challenge to work with it. It is appropriate for this age. Older boys may find it not challenging. Too difficult for a younger one.

An acceptable rendition of good 'ol Soundwave
Keep in mind that RID Warrior Blurr and that big grey gun he held in one of the pictures I provided obviously won't be included with Soundwave. All you'll get is Soundwave himself and his shoulder cannon.Regardless, this version of Soundwave is a decently-executed blend of his G1, Prime, and War/Fall for Cybertron counterparts, given the alternate mode and overall design. The tightness of the thigh swivels on my particular one are a bit ridiculous, but it's manageable if you hold the lower legs or the blue part of the upper legs. His transformation is a bit tricky, but you can get used to it eventually. Although the alt-mode is good for the most part, the visible hands might irk some people, including me.Due to how the arms transform into the sides of the vehicle mode, you could consider the upper arm swivels as two extra unintentional points of articulation for somewhat more exotic poses. The pegs at Soundwave's shoulders can fit accessories with a big enough peg, such as the included shoulder cannon. Although clearance can be an issue if you try to insert any bulky accessory into one of the pegholes while in robot mode, as they would get in the way of his head. That isn't the case in vehicle mode, given that the head is tucked away.I got this guy and RID Warrior Blurr in the same order, and Soundwave's packaging only suffered a minor dent, and it came in a plastic bag.A common criticism of the RID 2015 line is the lack of paint applications, but I think Soundwave looks good enough with what he has. Although customizers could have fun making the toy more show-accurate if they pleased.Overall, this is a great cheap-ish pickup for Transformers fans who want to add to their collections, or for those wanting to get into the Transformers series as a whole.

Can’t Believe The Cost
The product was too small for the cost. It doesn’t look as if it will withstand handling. Feels & looks like a ripoff.

An incredibly awesome, and pose-able figure
An incredibly awesome, and pose-able figure, even if a bit fidgety. Arrived in a day, only minor problem is the right foot is slightly loose. But it doesn't cause any problems in either forms. Great for collectors, and children.

My 5yo son could play with these transformers for hours. We gave him this new one on a plane ride and we didn't have to get out the tablet. :)
