Yes this 8 inch clock comes conveniently with a stand to sit on a shelf or can be hung on a wall.

Q: went of in my pitch dark hall. even with sensor covered. its so so loud too loud for my apt. cant sleep.

Sounds like the photo sensor, above the eagle, is not working. In the dark you should not hear a thing. Defective. If you just want to have a nice clock and no sound pull the two batteries out.

Q: How do i make the bird singing work? i can hear them when i push the red button, but i do not ever hear them on the hour. thank you.

Your clock close to any light source Will not sound if no light is present

Q: Why are the loon and eagle sounds mixed up? i never heard an eagle make a loon call until i got this clock!

my husband said it is harder to sinc the correct calls with the right birds on this clock than for our other bird clocks so it might just be that it was set incorrectly. We didn't even bother to reset the clock when the time changed because it is such a bother.
