These are only 1". Adults need 1.5". These are better for children. They do leak on an adult nose. Quality product. Check size for your specific needs.

Update: came back and bought another (bigger) box. We keep them in school bags and sports bags and travel bags. Always within reach and I've been able to hand them to other people in need - lots of seasonal allergy nosebleeds around here I guess!These have been incredibly useful in our house with a little one who has frequent nosebleeds. I have also purchased the "nampon" nosebleed products and love that those are individually packed and therefore protected and clean when needed so I keep them in my bag for out of the house use but they are not cost effective for frequent nosebleeds. These dental rolls are perfect for our purposes. They are just barely bigger than my 4yo's nostril so they make a good plug.
