Replaced without a problem
Great little stereo - worked good in our boat with a bit of effort with the electrical set up but that is to be expected in a 2004 boat with a new stereo. Sound is good!

Great Product
These are great speakers. They sound really good. So easy to connect through Bluetooth as well.

Good installation instructions -- great sound
I bought this to replace an old boat stereo. So old it played cassette tapes! The head unit fit beautifully in the existing dash cutout. The speakers took a bit more finagling, but the included template helped. The larger connection terminal on the speaker is the positive, smaller is the negative. Recommend you buy a speaker installation kit to get the right terminal connectors. Unit will not operate without both the red and yellow power wires hooked up. The volume and the clarity of the sound is impressive. The bass response of the included speakers is decent. The FM tuner seems sensitive, picking up some fringe signals in my area.As mentioned in other reviews, be careful, the USB port cover slides SIDEWAYS. It would be easy to break it off if you tried to lift it up.

Stereo and one speaker still work
I bought this stereo and speaker combo in October of 2023. One speaker just completely died, just doesn't work. I switched wires from the working speaker to confirm. The boat is stored outside and always covered in Florida. When I wash the boat after each use I'm careful where I spray the hose. The speaker should last more than one year and four months. If I could do it again, I'd buy a combo system from West Marine and purchase the extended warranty from them. My buddy did and his stereo went out a couple weeks ago. It had been a year and 10 months and they replaced the stereo on the spot. Good luck

Speakers are NOT Marine grade!
Speakers did not last long. The paper turned to gritty dust. Not a good idea for your boat.

Works great for the Price
seems to work great for the price, the speakers are holding up so far with lake water splashes, but it's only been a few months. I haven't gotten the head unit wet yet. As for the functions, for some reason, it doesn't reconnect to my phone every time I turn the unit on. I have to re-pair it. It could be my phone, however this is the only device I have this issue with, other than that. It would be 5 stars.

DO NOT BUY THIS. Don't, just don't. I warned you.
Lol...this stereo is so bad it's hilarious. What you need to know:It has maybe 7-8 "sources" and that list can't be shortened, none can be deleted. Why this matters? Because if you accidentally trigger the source button YOU MUST CYCLE THROUGH ALL THE SOURCES in order to get back to the source you were listening to. The 'BACK" button does nothing. This means ANY TIME YOU USE ANY MENU you have to turn the whole thing off and back on or remove the faceplate, or cycle through all 8 sources again to get back to the source menu.NOT KIDDING.After 1 month the volume quit working intermittently. Spin the knob and nothing, have to power cycle the stereo to get the volume to work again. After 6 weeks the head unit says " CHECK TUNER" and its DEAD.Walk away. Please.
