Q: What's the difference between "Professional Formula" & "Original Formula"? Thanks!

The only diifference I am aware of is the fermentation time. The Original formula is fermented 3-5 years and the Professional has been fermented fir an additional 2 years. Some people claim the Professional formula is more effective. I prefer the Professional. My doctor recently recommended Florastor which is working great for me.

Q: How is the pro different from the regular?

The Pro is a stronger dosage recommended for flu season & also is necessary if you have what they call a leaky gut. My husband & son have taken this probiotic for 5 -6 years & they don't get sick. In addition, the ear healthy most of the time. The regular is good for maintenance. 99% of the people do well with Dr. O'Hiras. Also requires no refrigeration.

Q: Has anyone noticed a difference? Trying g to decided, stick w/ reg. Or buy prof.

I did not notice any significant difference between the Regular and the Professional probiotic. I switched back to the Regular formula after finishing my first box of the Professional formula.

Q: Are the Carrageenan and Caramel Color from a natural source or synthetic? I've read that carrageenan can be naturally derived from seaweed.

Regarding the carrageenan and caramel coloring ingredients, there is a lot of misinformation about both of these ingredients, but it is important to understand that there are different classes for both of these. The materials used in Dr. Ohhira’s probiotic capsules are both food grade and naturally derived – without additional chemical modifications.
