Worked Great for my Son
It took us a while to finally discover this shoulder immobilizer, but I am glad that we finally did. Long story short our son dislocated his shoulder and injured his left arm after a game and had to go through a correcting operation. His surgeon strongly recommended him to use an arm sling an keep his shoulder as imobile as possible.Of course, kids being kids, this was a daunting task. The typical arm sling we were provided by the hospital did not work very well. First of all he would not keep his shoulder immobile and managed to sprain it. He complained about neck pains and aching on his clavicles. We figured that this was due to the sling hangin from the opposite shoulder, making him bear the weight of his arm on his neck and shoulder. We came accross this product while searching for a better solution. I immediately loved the two strap design and the additional strp that looked to be for keeping the shoulder immobile and we ordered it and hoped for the best.We were not disappointed, this sling is made of a very lightweight, very comfortable material. He would usually start complaining a couple hours after using his old sling, now he is barely bothered by this one. The neck pains and all the aches have gone away. When he wants to use his right arm we simply strap the shoulder immobilizier underneath his right arm and it works perfectly fine, holding his left shoulder immobile. He also no longer complains about sweating at the arm, I believe that the material is as breathable as advertised. All in all this product keeps my son comfortable and safe, what else would I wasnt from a medical product?

10/10 would buy again
Even though it’s too big to use as designed, it works perfectly!! Since the Velcro can be attached anywhere I just wrapped it behind his shoulders and criss crossed it to the front and attached it to the opposite shoulder. Since he is determined to crawl (lots and lots of wiggling) still I interwove the “waist” strap with the criss crossed straps to keep it from moving higher or lower on his body. He’s 11 months old and we’ve had to use this for 3 weeks to keep his cast on. (He had surgery for his webbed fingers)

Comfortable sling for a broken arm
My 4 year old daughter broke her arm, and the sling provided from the hospital started cutting into the skin on one side of her neck . This arm sling is much more comfortable for her, it's very soft and it doesn't cut into her skin. It distributes the weight of her cast on both shoulders and not just one. She said she liked this one more than the one from the hospital. I wish the mechanism to close the front pouch would be better. Right now it uses a Velcro strip to hold it folded up in place, after 1 week this strip got weaker and the pouch opened once on it's own. But I would still pick this over any other sling, primarily for the comfortable wear.

Good Velcro, super soft, easy to use.
When my 3 year old broke her clavicle I ordered two different slings to try in replacement for the sad sling we were sent home from the doctor’s. I have since returned the second option and gotten another one of these. The velcro stays on! It is super soft! It is easy to readjust when she gets active. Yes, she can get it messed up with her activity, but I think you would be hard pressed to find one that will stay perfectly in place for an active 3 year old. I did adjust the application (see picture) as the product picture showed it around both shoulders. One shrug and it popped up. This way it keeps only her affected area immobile and allows her to still be able to use that side’s hand. I have two so if she gets one wet (she plays in the sprinkler, etc) I can set that one in front of the hairdryer to dry off and have a dry one for her. Once you get the hang of putting it out (put it against her front like an apron, put her arm in it and Velcro up, criss cross the back and pull up and cross in front, put the single piece across her shoulder on one side, under her arm on the other and Velcro together, it is a snap. She even helps Velcro up her arm since she knows the drill by now: 3 weeks down, 3 to go). And it doesn’t smell bad although I am careful to hair dry it off when wet and do use baby powder to keep her armpit dry. Very happy and grateful this was available. And Amazon delivered the next day although it said it would be longer. Happy mama knowing Amazon worked hard to get me this for my little 3 year quickly.

Love this sling!
This product was a lifesaver for my 3-year old who broke his collarbone. He broke it just a few days before we were to leave for a beach vacation. Before it was delivered, we tried a traditional sling. It kept moving and I was always adjusting it. I was so happy when this one arrived. It kept his arm and shoulder secure and I like that there are a variety of ways to attach it.

Small
Really small. My tiny 7-year-old did not fit in this.

The PA at the orthopedist said it was the best sling she had ever seen!
My son broke his elbow, which for a 5 year old, is a real inconvenience. The hospital gave us a sling, but every 5 minutes, it would ride up and leave his casted arm hanging at a funny angle. We were constantly stopping him to fix the sling and it just wasn't doing the job to keep his arm in place the way it really needed to. So I hopped online and I'm I ever glad! This sling is Velcro so it's totally adjustable, it has straps for both shoulders so it has even weight distribution and it's a nice soft material that didn't rub on my son's neck as he lived his kiddo life wearing it! When we went back to the orthopedist to have an x-ray done on how his elbow was doing, they asked us what brand it was and where we had gotten it because they were going to recommend it to all their pediatric patients with arm breaks!

Great for a active child with broken arm.
I really like this sling. My daughter had so much trouble with a regular sling hurting her neck. I searched Amazon and found this sling. It was a great save for us. So easy to put on and balanced the weight on her shoulders. The Velcro started to not hold so well after a month but by then we only had a week to go. I was so thankful we had this sling.
