These are a great alternative to Legos. Works well with other off brand building blocks. Seemed like way more than pictured, which was great!

Lots of colorful building blocks
Great set of a lot of basic blocks for building. We ordered some bases at the same time we ordered these and glad we did that. Pieces fit quite snugly. Colors are good, blocks are well shaped, no smells. Arrives in a plastic bag in a cardboard box. You might want a tub to store them in. There's a lot. Fits in a large shoebox style tub (12 qt) with plenty of room to spare. You might even fit 2 sets of these in a 12 qt tub.

Good Color Supplement Blocks
It looks like there are bigger blocks to accomplish some specific things they include a picture of and the rest are small/flat blocks + wheels. If you are looking to supplement with certain colors, I think this set is fine. However, if you are looking to build really substantial buildings etc., I would recommend looking elsewhere. It worked fine for our needs where we wanted more pieces of certain colors and didn't necessarily care about the size. Also the blocks do seem to be compatible with our other ones and we felt comfortable mixing them in right away after a quick test.

Don't order based on the picture
The main reason I ordered this set was because the picture showed a bunch of the tall 2x8 bricks. My son doesn't have many of those and I wanted to boost his collection. There was not one single tall 2x8 brick in the entire box. There were a couple short ones. The majority were 1x4 and 2x4 tall pieces.The "assorted wheels" were all the same size small wheel with a few different styles of axels.That being said, if you are just looking for a bunch more random pieces, this set is probably fine for you. They do work fine with actual Legos. But, if you are hoping to receive what is pictured, don't count on it. I am very bummed.
