Now that I'm taking blood thinners, if I accidentally cut my fingers while prepping food, it bleeds profusely. I have to stop, clean up the mess, apply pressure to the wound until the bleeding stops and keep it firmly bandaged until healing eventually occurs. To my surprise, the one I use almost every day is the “comb” with long stainless steel teeth. It does make it much simpler to cut uniform slices of veggies, fruit or meat. In addition, by leaving it in place while I cross-cut or dice food the strips don’t slip out of position. That makes it faster and safer than trying to carefully hold slippery foods together with my fingers.

I bought these after a nasty knife cut, thinking that these would be helpful. In theory, they look great, but I found the steel guards quite difficult to use and didn't bother using them after the first use. It didn't work for me, but I think this is something that you would have to try it out yourself.
