I wanted a light - a light, neat-in-the-hand torch. That's exactly what I got, and easily afforded. Comes with primary cells [look it up]. When I first switched it on, I nearly dropped it - So Bright! I was thinking "Hugely efficient LED, or horrific battery waster?". You are in luck when you buy one of these. The battery of cells lasted ages. By the time I needed to replace them (three in a clearly-marked holder), I'd had two deliveries of cells, because I'd forgotten the first lot. The body fits snugly into a slender man's hand (mine). I play the mandolin. The battery compartment unscrews easily, but I lubricated the thread anyway (Servisol).Grab the main body. Switch on (friendly rubber button on the bottom). By twisting the "bulb" end, you can narrow or widen the beam. This buddy never leaves my pocket.[ If you've got a 1.5 volt battery, you're wrong. it's a cell. If you've got a 9 volt thingy, that's a stack of cells; a "battery" of them. But in everyday usage ... ]

Beautiful build quality, and the light the 400 lumens model gives is really great. Use it for walking at night and it’s perfect, highly recommend.
