Q: I measure about 55"just above the hip,will the xxL (up to 53") stretch to fit?

I measure about 42" and I ordered a L, don't have any problems with it fitting as there is a large area of Velcro to hook onto. It doesn't have any stretching power but the Velcro can be attached at different areas. Hope this helps.

Q: The size range in the size drop down list is different than the one displayed in the pictures. My waist is 38", which size should I get?

My waist is 38 also. I purchased a large and felt it was too big, but the medium is perfect for me. Hope this helps you. The medium gives me a great deal of support

Q: Does this ride up when worn?

For me it does not. But, as I am retired and not doing strenuous work it works for me. I also wear it on top of my clothing and that may help to keep it in place.

Q: I am 5’1” curvy with small waist, coccydinia, sciatica, l5 bulge pushing my s1 nerves. will this ride up/come loose? will it help l and s-spine pain?

My husband uses his brace nearly every day, especially when "working" or doing physical activity. He had fusions of L2-S1 & was given the original brace following that. He wears his higher on his back that this picture shows or it would likely ride us some. I doesn't come loose unless he has worn it out (on his 3rd one). As long as the velcro remains "tacky" & without lint or debris, it will not come loose, I don't think. I hope this helps you.
