GOOD STURDY STAND
I LIKED THE STAND VERY MUCH BUT THE STRAINER BAG IS TOO SMALL FOR THE STAND, IT HAS FOUR METAL GUSSETS TO FIT OVER THE LEGS AND IT GOES ON TIGHT, YOU HAVE TO PULL ON IT HARD TO GET IT OVER. WHEN YOU GO TO REMOVE THE BAG IT IS VERY HARD AND I ENDED UP PULLING THE GUSSETS OFF. THIS WAS A FAIRLY EXPENSIVE ITEM AND I THINK THE BAG SHOULD FIT BETTER AND BE BETTER QUALITY. ONCE YOUI PUT THE STAND TOGETHER IT DOES NOT COME APPART BUT DOES FOLD TO FLAT FOR STORAGE. I BOUGHT THE SAME BAG FROM A DIFFERENT VENDOR AWHILE AGO AND IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME AND COST 16.00. SO OVERALL TO ME IT GETS 3 STARS.

~ Strong, Easy to Use, Fits Any Bowl or Pot I have Used it With ~ Makes Everything Easier! ~
This strong plastic Linden Sweden Juice Strainer with Cotton Filter makes jelly-making AND infused oil-making so much easier. I have used cheesecloth in the past, but THIS works so much better. I love that I can just leave it there to drain into the pan for as long as necessary. The Juice Strainer fit perfectly on my big pot and held sturdy. I read that some of the other reviewers had a problem with the grommets tearing or pulling away from the fabric. I have not had that problem, at all, so perhaps this problem has been fixed or maybe I just haven't used mine as much as they have. Anyway, I have had no such problems. This worked perfectly for our jellies and for making dandelion-infused olive oil as well. When I purchased mine, which was in October of 2015, I ordered an extra set of bags to be sure I was covered, but I have only had to use the original bag so far, so it really was not necessary. The bag rinses out very nicely. I washed it by hand and allowed it to air dry with excellent results. I am so happy to have this lovely Juice Strainer! It is strong, easy to use, fits a variety of pots and/or bowls, and has been a huge help to my niece and me in our juicing adventures.

Great tool for straining jelly
This stand works great. I like the adjustable feet to give me more container options. The back of the box has the directions on how to fold this flat without taking it apart. Yes it’s in Swedish, but you can see from the picture that you just turn the legs and they easily move to make it lay flat - great design aspect.I read a few reviews about the grommets tearing on the bag because it’s a tight fit. This is how I put the bag on the stand:1) hook the first grommet2) hook the grommet opposite the first one3) remove the other 2 leg from the ring4) hook one grommet and then gently stretch it and push the leg into position on the ring4) repeat with the last grommet and legYour grommets will not tear. If you try and force the grommets over the last 2 hooks the bag will tear due to the lack of mobility of the legs if they’re already on the ring.To remove the bag, reverse the above steps.I ordered 2 extra bags so if I’m doing different jellies I can pop a clean one on and keep processing.I hope this review is helpful.

Absolutely worth the money!
This thing is amazing! I use it for making rose hip syrup and jam. I have used colanders, mesh strainers, and cheese cloth in the past and this is well worth the money. The accompanying picture shows straining 3 pounds of rose hips boiled with 8 cups of water. It was heavy but the whole thing stood solid. It easily fits over my 8 qt. stock pot as well as my 8 qt. enameled cast iron pot with room to spare in the adjusters. I just dumped the whole pot full of mashed rose hips in the strainer and let it sit. After a few hours I tried squeezing and wringing it out to get any remaining juice out and might have gotten an extra tablespoon. The resulting liquid does have some very fine "sediment" that settled in my syrup, which doesn't bother me at all. I have only used it for rose hips so can't speak to whether that would be a problem with other fruits for jelly making. All in all, stop shopping around, spend the money and get this strainer - you won't regret it.
