Beautiful but tough little batter bowl
When I first received the batter bowl I loved the look but was a little hesitant to use it in the microwave. I decided to give it the ultimate workout by making microwave peanut brittle in it. I was more than surprised because you have to cook one cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of corn syrup together for 4 minutes. Then you take it out of the microwave and stir the ingredients. The sugar and syrup were boiling but the handle to the batter bowl wasn’t even hot. I was very surprised! I had to continue adding other ingredients in and cooking about 5 minutes more. The handle never got hot even though the ingredients were boiling. In the end I emptied the contents ( which were extremely sticky) and washed the bowl. It cleaned up and looked as good as new. I AM WELL PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE !

Ripoff product!!
It says it is microwave and dishwasher safe. I thought it was made in California and it was not. I wouldn’t have bought this not I known these two things. I feel very ripped off!!!!! Amazon, you need to know more about the products you sell!!! Should be against the law.

A beautiful bowl
Could not be happier, beautiful colors and design. Nice weight, heavy enough to know it's great quality but not so heavy that it's hard to handle. Wonderful addition to my open shelves.

Almost perfect
Just got the 2 qt batter bowl today and it's is exactly as pictured. It's a sturdy bowl. Heavy and suspect it will last a long time. Upon inspection, "in" the bottom of my bowl there is what looks like a pin head size clump of what I suspect to be some kind of pottery residue that creates a little bump. It cannot come off as it will tear into the glaze and create a small chip. Not to mention that this little bump is white and the inside of the bowl is a garden green color makes is highly visible. Obviously, it annoys me, but does not impede the functionality of the product itself. At least not yet. Maybe I received an after-market product. Overall, it is really pretty. Smaller than I thought it would be but very usable for smaller recipes. I feel if this was a full size bowl, I may not be able to lift it though. Would make a great gift or even a piece for a center table arrangement. Worth the $$?? Maybe. We'll see in time.

Pretty Bowl, Not as Big as Expected
I bake a lot and loved the look of this bowl and the fact that it has a handle, which makes mixing easier without worry of the bowl tipping and for pouring. I also like that it has a spout, but the spout needs to be deeper because the spout on this is kinda flat and batter doesn't slide in a smooth stream, just a wide clump. It's made well, painted well and seems sturdy. My other issue with this is that it's not as big as I expected, so I can't use it for as many types of batters or cakes as I'd hoped. I was able to make muffins with it, but barely. If you have a lot of dry ingredients and you're mixing, you will end up with some on the counter because it's not deep enough. Disappointed with the execution. Needs to be bigger and have a better spout.

false advertising
description says bowel is dishwasher and microwave safe. Box states item should be handwashed only and nowhere does it say it is microwavable. I purchased this item because it said it was dishwasher and microwavable.
