While doing some research, I read about Huperzine A. My mom had been experiencing some mild cognitive impairment, so I ordered some to give it a try. I'm really glad I did! Mom has been taking it for several months, and it works really well.On occasion I found that mom benefitted a 2nd dose. Because of that, I order the 200mcg tablets for her. Source Naturals brand Huperzine is $12 for bottles of 120 count 100mcg tablets and it's $20 for bottles of 120 count bottles of 200mcg tablets. One bottle lasts for 4 months. It's such a small price to pay for something that has such positive and noticeable effects on cognitive health and mom's sense of balance. The tablets are very small, round tablets, that are beige in color, and are very easy for mom to swallow.I definitely recommend Huperzine A to anyone experiencing minor age related cognitive impairment, forgetfulness, or balance issues.Highly Recommended!

I’ve been taking this for about a week now and it’s been an incredible addition to my daily supplements. The first few days I had some vivid dreams but the biggest difference has been my sleep quality. I’m 44 years old going through perimenopause and I no longer wake up between 3-5am! I sleep so much sounder, almost like it calms my mind too. I do notice some slight improvements with brain fog and memory also. I don’t see myself being without this product moving forward.

I too bought this product after reading Tim Ferris's book and thus was hopeing for some miraculus change in my memory and even IQ. Didn't happen. Not even close. But I haven't had any negative side effects off of 1 a day. And tho this product didn't do as I'd hoped, it never claimed that it would. There may be some increase in memory and alertness, but it's slight and could be a placibo. I have, as well, notices more lucid dreaming. Which seems to let me function a little better on 6 hours of sleep.I give this a 4 star review, because I've had no ill side effects and there may actually be something too it! Considering the price and the posibilities, I find it worth a try!

Just bought another bottle to keep in the car. Love the cost and effects- more energy and alertness. I’ve read not to exceed 400 mcg, but I’ll take one in the morning and another on my way home from work so I have energy for the evening.m

This was my first and only time taking any brand of Huperzine. As with all supplements new to me, I started slowly then gradually increased to the recommended amount.Day 1 ~ 1/4 tablet morning (25 mcg)Day 2 ~ 1/4 tablet morning + 1/4 tablet afternoonDay 3 ~ 1/2 tablet morning + 1/2 tablet afternoonDay 4 ~ 1/2 tablet morning > quit due to side effectTHE VERY GOOD:Huperzine improved recall & processing dramatically more than any other nootropic I have ever tried. The good effects came on in about an hour when I took it on an empty stomach. Reading comprehension went through the roof for me. My vision became much sharper. My words flowed again... whether typing or speaking. Fine motor control improved quite noticeably... along with seemingly endless muscle stamina.It was almost like a watered-down version of the movie "Limitless." This was not a placebo effect. I am very used to trying new and different supplements on a regular basis for a long time now... So any "placebo effect" part of my brain that may have ever existed is "in check." In short, I've tried other nootropics that have had NO effect whatsoever on me.THE VERY BAD:I noticed a heaviness in my chest/lungs around Day 3. I didn't connect it with Huperzine at first... I thought it might be a chest cold or asthma acting up. Since I did not notice this effect on Day 1, I must conclude that I seem to have developed a super sensitivity to Huperzine (or susceptibility to Cholinergic Crisis) since this experience.If you try it, be on the lookout for for any symptom of Cholinergic crisis.I will not take Huperzine again.

I am 58 and noticed I was starting to forget names, appointments, and promises. I have 2 parents with dementia so I am very concerned, and determined to avoid it. I have tried several supplements that had been recommended, but with no noticeable improvement. I read an article about Huperzine, then saw all the wonderful reviews on Amazon. I started feeling more alert on the third day, and my memory has much improved. I will never be without it

I bought this product for the purpose of improving cognition, but more specifically to induce lucid dreaming. The dose is two per day, taken at separate times. The only thing that I can say that was not inherently positive is that I had a few restless nights from when I took the second pill too close to my immediate bedtime.I had dreams in which I had very detailed experiences, and in some of the dreams I have been consciously aware of being in a dream, and able to control what happens in the dreams. For just improving cognition I would recommend taking it only early in the day if you find that you are waking up several times in the night like I was . My adjustment was just not taking them less than 5 hours before I sleep.
