Very nice durable construction

The general quality of this item is good and the item I received looks identical to others listed on Amazon at roughly half the price. However, there is one major difference I see between other items I previewed on Amazon and this item, and the item description for this product doesn’t precisely match the item I received. 1) many of the other dopp bags brag about their YKK zippers. Although the zippers on this bag are brass and of reasonable quality, they are not YKK zippers. The Metal used for the zipper pulls on this bag are generally thin and I can’t see them lasting a decade or more like my previous dopp bag. 2) the item pictured in the add for this product shows a nifty strip of leather covering the zipper for the outer compartment of the bag. The item I received does not have the leather cover over the zipper, and while I am disappointed (because I liked the aesthetics of the leather strip), it’s not a deal breaker for me.The leather is of so-so quality, having a “pleather” feel and appearance in places, but no defects or blemishes. The quality of the stitching is good, and the bag is lined with a nylon like material that gives the bag a nice finish and at least the impression of some water resistance, if that’s at all necessary. The inside of the bag smells faintly of leather and “new” materials, and not the caustic odor described by many in reviews of other, similar products. I think for the price, I’ll give this one a try, as many of the reviews I read of bags costing twice as much basically describe the same features of the bag I received.

Don’t expect an incredible piece of workmanship when you open the box (you only paid $30 for it afterall). Its made with cheaper leather, but it is actual leather. The materials seem cheap, but if you want it to soften up, you’re going to have to get a little old school with it and work it in your hands a while to loosen the leather. Like how shoes used to be. Watch a couple episodes of your favorite show and before you know it, the feel of it will be much better

This one had no reviews, so here's the DL. Looks decent and it was cheap. Smells fake and feels fake. Some of the finish is wearing out on the bottom.
