Seem very durable
They fit well and are comfortable. It feels like it has thick cardboard or plastic inserts. They do hold in heat and don't breath a lot but they definitely protect your legs.

Did not seem secure
It was very difficult to adjust the chaps for sizing and making sure the lower portion of the leg was guarded. There were no instructions of any kind to explain how to adjust the straps etc.
