Nice maul! Good value.
Well-built; the heavy weight does the work. It can go into the woods and split the big rounds in half to make it easier to load into the truck.

Would not buy another one
Do you have to grind it down before I Splitwood

This thing is dull. I know it's not supposed to be an axe but it is completely dull
It's built well except for the cutting edge. It is truly a bludgeon! I was about to send it back but decided to sharpen it on a grinder, which turned it into an excellent tool. Sharpen it! If you don't want to or don't have the time or equipment, then get one from somewhere else.

Sturdy
We purchased this after our old axe broke. It arrived quickly and did the job. So far it has been a great axe.

Works well
Works perfect for splitting firewood. I have hit the handle a couple times and so far it has had no effect

Not happy with face design
There is a raised v area of steel at face of splitting on mall. This is preventing good penetration of wood.Head needs to be beveled sharper and the raised v needs to go away.Hed bad results on both oak and even popular. Just sad. Will contact manuf. and see if I grind down face and it still does not perform better, can I return it.Side note, I have an old splitting head with straight face bevel. Works every time.

Putting a sticker on the handle was a horrible idea
I would have been a lot happier with this product had the manufacturer not decided to use an 8" sticker to label the product. The resudue is impossible to remove. I've tried everything. So now the majority of the handle has sticky residue, making it really annoying to try and swing. Almost ready to just send it back.
