Great bird waterer!
I have a feeder outside my bedroom window and every morning and evening I am entertained by a myarid of wild birds enjoying the seeds! However as the weather become hotter I also thought having a hanging bird waterer next to it would be a good idea. It was. This unit is terrific. Beautiful sturdy construction, extremely easy to clean and fill up, and best of all, in only days, there were as many birds drinking and bathing in the water plate as there were those enjoying the feeder. Strongly recommended for those who love to have birds in your life!

Nice glass bottle
I have been supplying water for the birds with a plastic feeder bottle and it was always getting algae inside and hard to clean. I ordered this glass water feeder and what a difference. The birds love it and I can thoroughly clean it between fillings. The water feeder has customers continuously on hot summer days.

Good option for water
I love the look of this water feeder. I got it to offset my hummingbird feeder. The size is big enough that it lasts for a few days, even in the desert. It’s made from durable materials. My only complaint is that to fill it, you have to flip it once you’re done and it loses a lot of water. I found a work around by added cling wrap around the trough to hold water in while I flip it and this has helped some.

Survives Arizona
We live in southern Arizona, so it can get well above 110° in the summers. We've had this waterer for a few weeks now, and the temperatures have been running in the high 90s. I was a bit worried about the water retention after reading other reviews, but I'm pretty impressed so far. Since it's an open dish at the bottom, it's going to evaporate faster than something like a hummingbird feeder, but we've only needed to fill it about every other day. One way we've found to combat the evaporation with the hotter temperatures is to fill the whole thing with ice and then fill the rest of it with water. The picture was taken right after I did this. You lose about 1-2 inches of water to the dish part when you flip it over, depending on how fast you are; that's just how it is. The only way I can think that you would have a completely full bottle is if it was filled and secured to the dish while under water (like in a bath tub or the sink or something). It doesn't leak past the little holes at the bottom, so there's only maybe half a centimeter of water sitting in the dish; I haven't had to worry about bugs drowning in it or anything like that. It's rust resistant so far, but it's only been a few weeks, so I can't attest to how it withstands months or years. However, it has already lasted longer than our hummingbird feeder (from a different company), which rusted immediately. Both the glass and the basin are thick and feel pretty sturdy. It's also easy to disassemble if you need to. The bottle does hold 16 oz, so while it does look "small" in person, it holds as much as advertised. We get quite a bit of bird traffic to our feeder and the waterer, and it's super easy to clean off whenever they do poop on it. This product does what it says it will, so I'm happy with it.

Returning for waterer that holds more
It's pretty and seems well made, but it holds very little water. This would need refilling every other day. As it is, my larger one requires filling every 3 to 4 days. The dimensions diagram made me think the glass was 11" tall, but it seems that length must include the hanger. I will be returning.

Bird water feeder
This feeder is listed as a water feeder. When I filled it, it overflowed, and no way to use it for water...just gushed out! So, then I put seed in it and the seed could not get through the holes to the tray. So, this was a bust for us! Birds were very frustrated! As was I! Rating of 0.

The two I purchased are working out very well. The birds enjoy the fresh water and I enjoy bird watching. Thank you
