BADGER Two Airbrush Set 105 and 155

I purchased as a replacement for my Paasche dual action I've had for 30 years. It served me well, but I noted a drop in the quality of replacement parts such as the use of soft metal used for the needle and nozzle. So I did a bit of research and checked with my wallet and decided this set was a good buy.After my first use and cleaning, I wonder why I didn't make the jump sooner. I was looking for an airbrush that handled Vallejo Air acrylics and this does admirably. I used the fine needle and a drop of flow agent, turned to about 25 PSI and I was getting fine detail lines without issue. The next shot was without the flow agent and it still behaved very well.Cleaning is very easy. I first flushed the airbrush with cleaner and then disassembled and flushed with hot water. It came clean very easily. Assembly was a bit of a problem, though that might be my issue and not the airbrush.The mechanism for the siphon is the same as the gravity fed one. I plan on using the gravity airbrush for the odd enamel top coats, so I consider this to be a good, well rounded set.

A good value for the money but it might take a couple tries to get a good set!I bought three of theses sets. The first units leaked air until I went to extremely low pressure on the compressor and used the included air hose. The second set was damaged in shipping and the Patriot 105 had a bent needle and was unusable. The third set finally worked as expected.Lessons learned:1) Whoever packs them at the factory/reseller just doesn't care.2) They get tossed around in shipping which just makes the problem(s) worse.3) It makes a difference if you use the included air hose.4) They work better with a tanked air compressor that has consistent pressure.5) Once you get them to work they're fantastic.

The airbrushes themselves are of typical Badger quality as expected. They perform perfectly well with a variety of oaints and are easy to disassemble to clean and maintain. The reason for the one star review is due to the kit missing the metal paint cup for the suction feed. If it were included, this kit would absolutely be five stars. It is not worth the hassle to return the whole product for one piece especially when recent reviews also indicate missing components, and seeing as how this kit is no longer produced, I have little faith going forward of receiving the full complement. Again, the brushes are wonderful, and if you have all of the components, it is a perfect set.

I gave this 2 stars even though it broke the second time I used it. It a good value for what you get if they would last. Really like the way the nozzle setup is on these. The second time I used it I noticed I was not getting air consistently. Found that the assembly where the air line hooked up came loose then completely out of the airbrush body. I am super careful with my brushes so not sure if it was a fluke. Saw a couple other reviews where this happened. I went back to an Iwata but did like the setup and feel of these airbrushes.

This combination is perfect for professionals & beginners...Nothing but quality products from the badger brand in my opinion...I recently sent both airbrushs back to badger for needle bearing replacements..(totally my fault...I was a little to rough while cleaning them...) They were gone for around 2 weeks for repairs...not bad at all...I gotta add they went above & beyond what i was expecting...not only did they replace both needle bearings.they replaced all springs & o-rings...even replaced a damaged tip I didn't even know was damaged...I'm 100% satisfied & blown away!!! I should add..they only charged me $12 for the shipping back...all parts were on them...Now that is AWESOME!!!!

When I made the purchase I noticed that there was only one remaining and felt lucky to have gotten the last one. When it arrived I noticed that the inside of the case looked used and all the parts were loose and tossed about. The paper work was wrinkled and seemed to be missing some information; but I’m not sure of that. I started with the Patriot 105 and disassembled it so I knew how to clean it before I started using it. Immediately I noticed that the 105 looked used as it had a small dent in the spray regulator. There was tarnishing inside the cup and dried paint inside the tip. So I cleaned it up and used it anyway and purchased a new regulator. It works just fine and I am still very happy with it.I was now ready to use the 155 and started taking it apart and it also looked used. As I was taking out the needle which felt very tight I noticed dried paint on the tip of the needle. I kept going and got it disassembled and saw very thick dried gummy paint in this tip also. I cleaned it and no big deal. As I was reassembling the 155 I noticed that the trigger would not go down. So I disassembled the valve to the air hose and there was nothing inside. No spring, not anything. Luckily I accidentally purchased a complete assembled valve by accident a few days ago. So I put that in and it works fine now. Lucky me!I just wanted Badger to know what Amazon sold to me. All is well and I’m not asking for anything. I really like these airbrushes and learned a heck of a lot these last few days because of this. It just would have been nice to have brand new airbrushes.

This set not only costs less than the airbrushes alone, but includes a super fine needle conversion as well as the medium and fine needles and tips for 6 combinations in all. Hose, quick releases, and color jar are included which would be expensive if purchased separately. And of course US-made Badger quality which is why they are my favorite airbrushes.
