If the coil you bought is compatible to the one you're replacing then yeah the wires will match up not a problem he's got to make sure it's compatible to look at your part number and see if it's compatible are interchangeable with the one you're replacing that's all you got to do it's simple as that if your if your coil especially if it's just one coil with like six plugs running out of it okay and it's 15 years old it's time to replace it anyway no matter what if it don't solve the problem it's going to give you a sharper Spark it's going to it's going to be a better response to your plug so you can't go wrong either way by replacing your coil unless you buy a coil that is short-circuited and don't work at all then you got hosed but that ain't going to happen so anyway that's that's the only thing I can tell you is you can't go wrong by changing your coil especially if it's over 15 years old I just changed mine and it was 26 years old and it was still running good but I changed it

Pull each wire off of coil while engine idles. Hold approximately a half inch away. Listen for spark, and you will see it. If spark is visible coil is fine.
