Q: What product would you recommend to protect the paint from peeling?

I would just go to your local paint (lowe's -- Home Depot) dealer, and ask. The only thing I don't like about this great product is the crome part rusts out to quickly.

Q: Can you buy parts for the 872-2 hose reel cart

I've had this hose reel for 4 years and this year, mine had a small leak. I found the problem to be the two "O" rings inside the the pivot area. Pretty simple to fix. Local hardware store had what I needed.

Q: Does this cart tip/move when you roll up the hose? Do you need to put weight on the crossbar to keep it from moving around during hose roll up?

If the reel is mostly empty and you have a lot of hose out you may need to put one foot on the crossbar until you add some weight to the reel by winding some of the hose onto it. When there is more hose on the reel (especially if it is ful of water) there is enough weight to hold it in place without the foot.

Q: I bought this back in august of 2013 and all of the nuts and bolts that hold it together are rusted???

typical problem with most fasteners today...I suggest applying some penetrant to release the fasteners and then soak in same of some rust inhibitor; re-install and keep lubricated...alternatively; just replace with stainless fasteners
